I tried to PM you but your mailbox is full!! I'm sending the SSR tree #1 and wanted to touch base with you.

PACKING UP AND SHIPPING OUT NEXT WEEK!!

Please drop the tree off on the date of your departure at 11am with the Bell Service for the next family, also please cross your name off the list on the outside of the tree box. Also when dropping the tree off at the Bell Service, please point out to the CM who the next family that will be picking up the tree. Pick up the tree at the Bell Service day of arrival after 11 am. There will be a envelope for donations (in each tree box) for Shipping the trees to & from the resorts. If you are the last family please use the donations to help with shipping the trees back. If you need help please ask the front desk to help you with the shipping.

AND..... will these instructions be glued to the outside of the box??? Or inside the box?

For everyone that are sharing the VWL #2 tree, here is a photo of the carton that the tree was shipped in. Just in case bell services can't find it right away you can tell them what kind of carton to look for. Have a great time and I hope you enjoy the tree.

For those of you sharing the SSR tree #1, your box will look just like Gail & Joe's above, but the box is brown FEDEX. I can't for the life of me figure out how to post pics yet - sorry. ENJOY YOUR VACATIONS!!

I would mention that posting pictures of the box complete with the names can match up people's Disboards ID with their real name, which some may not want to happen. Just something to think about in case others start also posting pictures of the boxes. It's a good idea to either take the picture before putting on the real names, cover the real names when taking the picture, or use Photoshop (or similar) to obscure the names before sharing the picture.

Other than that... I can't wait! We'll be there in seven weeks... seems like forever!

Groucho you are correct, i try to do this in a manor that i keep everyones name & IDs private. That is why i ask the donaters to only put the first & Last names, dates on the tree list. NO ID NAMES. Every year after all the tree have been return to the owner, i shred the list with all the names & ID names, dates. Maybe some of you keep asking, why does she ask me for my name when i was on the list last year, or doesnt she remember me because i was on the list last year. Im sorry if i dont remember some of you, i cant even remember what i ate last week..... I do this to try to protect your Idenity.


It is very simple instructions, you pick the tree uup after 11 am and drop the tree off before 11am with bell service.

please know what # tree you are to pick up and your dates when you are to pick the tree up and drop off.... this is very important.

Beacuse the next family will want to pick the tree up on there dates.

please donate a few $$ to help with the shipping

the last family takes only what is needed out of the $$ to ship the tree back to the owner.

the owner uses the rest of the money to replace the money that they used to shipped the tree to the resort

My trees are in boxes, but not yet sealed or shipped. I got sidetracked this weekend and didn't get them out. I'm up to my neck in details for a Holiday House Tour that I'm running the week we get back (12/3). It's all good and things are cruising.....but it's still a lot of work.

Since I lost my UPS ground window to get them there by Friday, I'm thinking about taking them down with us as luggage on Thursday since we could take 10 bags, but no one's leaving this house with more than one suitcase and one carry-on. We're also renting a van - so there'll be plenty of room.

Anyone else tried this?

I just want to make sure they get there and I want to put one up in our room on Friday night so when we get back from MVMCP it's there to light up! My DH thinks I'm nuts......but why would this be any different than anything else I do?

You'll probably have to check it, so make sure the box is very sturdy and well labeled. If you think it'll withstand say being thrown down a staircase OK, then go for it. Take a picture of the box and the contents, just in case the airline misplaces it. Might make the claim process easier.

Mae sure the box can handle being shipped back to you afterwards.

and accessories are on their way!!! Cost us $8.45 to FED EX it from south Jersey!! I will track it and let you know when it gets there; was told it will take 3 days. I consider this my official start of the "holiday" season!!!

I bought the boxes at UPS and they look tough enough to withstand being tossed! They said I could UPS it tomorrow and it would get there Friday for $10, I may FEDX them just in case.
