The problem is not finding a place to stay, we can make the rounds and piss everyone off, I kinda like that idea :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: it's paying more money to store the furniture.
Really? I've heard people say it took WEEKS for their stuff to arrive. Maybe you could leave early July (though I suppose still have to pay all of July rent), drive out to MN while your stuff is trucked s-l-o-w-l-y... :confused3

That would give you time to scope out a place to live and get registered for school, etc. :thumbsup2

And annoy all the relations! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Really tick them off and use their garages! Tell them to park outside in the hail storms your furniture is more important. :thumbsup2
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We did that once, stored our things in my sister's garage. We had a mouse come along for the ride at our new place (fall)
She doesn't have room in her garage to store her own cars now :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: giant pile of recycling cans (her husbands current fascination) and a junk car (another hobby/fascination).

hmm, trying to remember.

We packed it all up, stayed two days with no furniture and cleaned everything. Two days to drive, waited a week with no furniture.

Two weeks tops.

hmm, read up on cars and mice...

Some suggestions:
Downy fabric softener sheets

Peppermint oil on cottonballs

Altoids (regular kind has lots of peppermint oil)

Mothballs UNDER the car (but be careful with the kids as they are poisonous if ingested)

fox urine sprinkled outside of the car (hmm, odd but I bet it would work!)

clean human hair -nontreated (ask for it at a hair salon, tuck it under the seats and dash, bonus-- it will keep you warm in the winter!)

hm, ingenious instructions to make a car corral out of aluminum flashing-- makes sense-- slippery surface that they can not climb!

:worship: :worship: :worship: I wrote all that down to show dh.
I'm confused...is the nephew 2 years old or 20? :confused3

what part of minn are you going to?

Back to the Twin Cties of course :goodvibes

Thinking Moundsview or St Anthony school districts.

That gives me New Brighton, St Anthony, Moundsview, and a tiny portion of Mpls and Roseville and as far as Shoreview.

We tend to like being in first ring suburbs northeast metro (close to my sis) . I've worked further out thru HeadStart and found it wasn't to my liking. Close to the city but not IN the city make sense??

Wait did I seriously read FOX PEE for keeping away mice.

Dh said that he read a different animal to put the pee down for.. I forget which, but yeah, it scares the mice away. His buddy offered to let his python climb through the car. :faint: NO THANK YOU!!

well, I was going to suggest getting a cat :rolleyes1 then I realized you had shared you are not a pet person.

yep!

I found it on an advice board-- ohhh yeah, and I read car warranty doens't cover mice problems but if you have comprehensive insurance.. you can likely file a claim :thumbsup2

I'm definitely a suburb girl. We never lived in a big city, and while we liked visiting a city and all the cultural amenities it brings, I never felt comfortable walking over sleeping drunks or getting hit up by people begging for money.

I have never gotten over a stabbing downtown years ago. A guy in his 50s, big, strong, strapping guy who I think was an EMT or firefighter, was stabbed in the middle of a crowd walking to or from a Mariner's game. No rhyme or reason to it, the killer was just some nut on the streets who'd been released from the state mental hospital.

We used to walk those streets all the time to go to a game, and now I think of him every time we go there. :scared1:

The coyote urine is dang expensive! Unless your DH is willing to extract some from a local critter, I'd suggest trying one of the other methods. :rolleyes1

So why was that hard? Ohhhhh, because I look so young myself? I get it now...
Thanks, pixster! :thumbsup2 :rotfl: :rotfl:

I found it online for $14.99 for 8oz. not to bad.. Besides, I was about to call the exterminator to come out here and take care of this... I dont care how much t costs... I want the damn thing gone!!!!

Dh told me in the middle of the grocery store. :sad2: He has no sense on that stuff... :lmao: Dont upset me while Im shopping! I get all flustered and start throwing stuff in the cart!!:lmao: :lmao:

:confused3 I'm not sure what everyone is bring, but should I bring anything?
Last I remember, Tinkermell or somebody was thinking of bringing juice, or buying it from HoJos? Do they have a coffee shop or something? Oh, and coffee... Please! As long as its not Disney coffee...
