all the regional managers have blackberry's but not the GM's. It irks me too because they call his cell. Personally I think if they use his cell for work this is both the people above and below him, they should pay for the cell because they call so much I have to have a h igher rate plan.

The company doesn't pay for his cell phone? They really should, especially if they are the ones calling him.

I could maybe understand it if it were your little sister's friend...3 or 4 years ago. But somebody in HS? I hope he never reproduces...

They totally should. Even at dh's work, the higher ups have company phones.

Exactly!!! When DH was a supervisor they paid for the phone, but like you they don't for the GM's. But you know if there is a problem the Sup calls him on his cell (not the store phone) as well as all the rest of his managers. And you know they would have a problem if our DH's did not have a cell phone and could be reached 24/7

AAAAHHHH Oh we so can complain together. We went camping once no cell reception right. Well he comes back from 2 nights camping and his regional reprimands him for not answering his cell on his day off. We were trying to GET AWAY from it all. Geesh.

Then if he is at home they still call his cell. I'm like ITS EATING mINUTES and he tells them to call him on the home line but 10 minutes later they call his cell again.

DH years ago had a personal cell, and gave it out for office phone calls. They quickly ran through our rate plan, so they offered to get him a work cell, which he agreed to.

So he got rid of the personal cell and used only the work cell, but then in some lame cost-cutting measure, some staff members were getting spoken to about their personal calls on the work cell. (Not DH, his calls to me were like once a day and very brief, but other people had a lot of calls and long ones.)

So from then on he's always carried a personal cell and a work cell/Blackberry, and never the twain shall mix.

I know! My little sister asked me if it hurts and I said: "Sometimes." Then she asked me what it was and I told her she'll find out when she's older. She's only 11 and I didn't want to tell her and my mom wants to be the one who explains it to her.
