Good morning, hyenas!
Gorgeously sunny in Seattle!!! :yay:

And a big WOOHOO for Moto!!! :woohoo:
I think your BF is clueing in...

Took Ds3 to preschool, then DS7 and I went to Starbucks, and then on to a local park. He swung on the swings while we chatted and I checked out some construction across the street. It's kind of an expensive area, but it didn't look like a new McMansion, I'm pretty sure it will be a business of some sort. (Cement walls with little teeny windows.) I'm saying a business because no way on earth this neighborhood would allow a jail. :rotfl2:

Then we went to the waterfront and checked out the wildlife. We saw a pair of turtles. He was swimming along and trying to crawl out onto a dry log, but couldn't seem to get up onto it from the water. He had a seashell stuck to his front foot (paw? claw?), and I'm not sure if that's why. DS thought the shell wasn't stuck, rather that he was carrying it on purpose. :confused3
I assume the other turtle following him was his mate. She was very drab colored, and also had a bunch of floaty stuff on the back of her shell, very weird. (Like the stuff that grows on logs that are always underwater?)

:lmao: Dh is not that tall.. Only 6ft1in tall.. But he has ridiculous extremities! He is all legs and arms.. no torso! Weirdo. :lmao:

I always feel dumb buying cute stuff.. Then I feel bad because it just sits there. Plus, I always thing I am going to lose weight. Which I never do!:lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: When I wear heels, I have to be carful that thy are not to high, because I will be taller then dh. I had to buy lower heels for our wedding.:rolleyes1 :lmao: :lmao:
Good lord, how tall are you??? I didn't think you were that tall when we met... Guess I didn't pay attention. You must be at least... 5'10"???

DH is over 4" taller than me, so no worries. I also used to wear 3" or 3.5" heels before "casual dress" at work became the norm. I didn't mind wearing suits and heels, but I seriously hated hot, sticky pantihose in the summer. :sad2:

Now I've read that pantihose is a thing of the past??? Is that true??? My legs are not good enough to go without so I can't even imagine... :rotfl:

I had DS3 write a letter to great-grandma (DH's step-grandma, and actually he "dictated" to me since of course he can't write yet), and now I just had DS7 write a letter to her, too. He chose some funny little cards for this the other day, that have a photo of two bulldogs sitting in an old-fashioned ride-on type car. Really cute! :lmao:

So I need to pop in a quick note and we'll get it in the mail on our way to pick up DS3 in a bit.

Hope you all are enjoying the day! :)

sniffle sniffle, did you read that I looked for that cool bag at DL (the Le sportsac type, Tokidoki branded??) and they have none left-- boohoo!

I'm not a purse person either, it has to be small and attach to my body -- if I had a bag that I carried on one shoulder or in my hand-- I would leave it somewhere.

When we were at Sea World on Sat. I saw this really cute back pack, the kind with just one strap. They had pink or blue and had hawaiian flowers on it. I thought it would be perfect for Disney but I just couldn't decide if I wanted it. On the way out we stopped in a differant gift shop and they didn't have it! :guilty: I was so mad, and I didn't want to go all the way back to the other store. Oh, well, ya snooze ya lose.

CSI starts up again tonight!!!:woohoo:

Oye. my mom's surgery is in question now. She did her remicade treatment yesterday and they usually want at 2-3 weeks between that and surgery so they cant do it next week.:sad2:

This is my moms fault as she forgot to tell them she had it scheduled. She could have cxld. I just called her today to tell her to stop taking her mobic and she told me there might be a problem. They are waiting for the DR to call back but I bet he says we need to postpone it.

other than that I am almost done with my lamp quest. I bought 5 this morning at Steinmart!!! I am scoring at that place recently. I bought the same lamp I was going to buy at Lamps Plus for $250.00 but at Steinmart I got it for $89.00!!! I couldnt believe it. THE SAME ONE PEOPLE! No flaws or anything!

Im only 5'8", But all my heels were over 4inches. Plus they are platforms, which adds to the overall... PLUS dh cant seem to figure out how to stand up straight.

:cool1: :cool1: What a deal!! Most excellent!

I guess I should word it bad. She feels terrible she forgot to mention it not like she did it on purpose! :lmao: She's blaming it on old age. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: Or the wine.......either one.

It was a tough day we were in the office though since it was her wedding anniversary so i can see why she wasnt with it altogether. my dad always took her there and for a long time that was the only place she had a real problem going alone because she had never set foot in that building without him. :sad1: so she wasnt quite in the right state of mind.

Thanks! They are funky tropical lamps. One is a parrot sitting on a branch holding a lantern that lighs up too!

I know sounds weird but its really cool. I've just gotten so sick of our boring lamps that I'm having a blast replacing every lamp in our house (except the kids) with crazy lamps.

Then one little decorative one that sits on the sofa table has 2 palm trees with a tiny elephant underneath. :lmao:

I thought dh was going to check me for a fever but he really liked them!

:lmao: The wine.. Thats funny.

I understand. My mom has had a hard time doing stuff too. She was terrified to get in the car for a long drive. I couldnt figure it out... Til she mentioned that she had never driven anywhere without my dad before. DUH. She has worked up the nerve to drive up here at the end of the month, so we will see how that goes.

Grief hits in strange ways ya know.

I might have to take a picture of all my lamps I'm so excited about them. :cool1: I know thats silly but we've had the same ones in our house for 13 years!!! Time to get rid of the college lamps I'd say.

Ok I'm watching my friends son who is 3 right now. She should be here any minute to take us to lunch so if I disappear suddenly that is where I've gone.

Anyway, he's adorable but hes got a cough! :scared1: We've slid by this year escaping most of the illnesses and I'm hoping Jake doesnt catch this one. It seems pretty nasty. I'm gonna pull out the bleach wipes when he leaves! :lmao:

You have fun at lunch!

Good Morning Hyena's...I haven't caught up yet, but I have to post first. DD woke up last night screaming in pain, and didn't really sleep much because her ear hurt so bad. So I took her to the DR this morning, got some antibiotics and codeine, they puffed her nose....and then the DR came back in. DS was actually on pretty great behavior (for him) while we were there, but the DR came back in and sat down. He looked at me, and asked, what are we going to do about your boy? (He has seen and treated him before, since August). I let him know how school has been, all the tests, the continued behavior issues (he is nodding), and then I drop it, I tell him that I think it is mild autism/aspergers. He shakes his head, and agrees. He told me to go home, do some (more) research on the computer and give him a call at home. He told me he does not know how I manage to deal with him on an everyday basis, and he has treated many kids, but this one is just a "pistol", and he has never seen anything like him (and this guy has to be pushing 70, so he has seen alot). So I drove home, with a flurry of emotions :yay: :scared1: :cloud9: :guilty: :sad1: :scared: :woohoo: I finally feel like we might get somewhere, and beyond that, I am not a terrible mother! The DR is not sure what he can do (I guess they don't let pediatricians diagnose/treat autism), but this guy really don't care about the rules (when DD got strep he gave me 3 refills so we could all have one), but at least I am closer!!!

OMG - there is just so much information out there...but the more I look into it autism itself is so confusing (no wonder why no one will diagnose it). There is no medical test to perform, just observations of behavior :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: . Now for the next question...I have always been very anti-drugging of children, but the Dr. recommended it and think it will help...I really don't know how I don't try it. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
