We have trouble finding pants for dh that are long enough. It SUCKS.

This is why my uncle calls my bf Shorty!

My bf is only an inch and a half shorter than me. I call him small fry as a joke and he's all:

I do that all the time. I want PRETTY clothes. but it doesnt make much sense to get dressed up to go to the grocery store.

ya know, I felt that way for a long time too.. but this year I retired my "mom" outfit. I looked frumpy, I looked tired, I looked not very pretty and it made me sad.

I found things at Lane Bryant (store location going out of business PLUS coupon = cheap clothes!) and Gottschalks clearance floor at my local mall. I'm almost out of the frump zone and have some nice pieces.

Mind you , I don't leave home much right now. But I feel a lot better about myself having clothes that fit and look nice on me.

It changes everything.

When I first brought him to meet my parents.. my mom whispered.. you're the same size! You could share clothes!

Dh is not that tall.. Only 6ft1in tall.. But he has ridiculous extremities! He is all legs and arms.. no torso! Weirdo.

I always feel dumb buying cute stuff.. Then I feel bad because it just sits there. Plus, I always thing I am going to lose weight. Which I never do!

Either my choices have changed.. or they changed what they stock. They have a few things that are really cute.

But I miss going to CJ Banks, I would haunt the clearance racks and find all sorts of goodies. Haven't found a chain here.
Though a few things they have are jsut a bit big on me.. going to that frump zone again.

I think that Layne Bryant is really starting to sell to a younger crowd...When I was younger I would go in there with my mom, and it was all hmmmm... Unfashionable stuff? but now, I like it.

Yeah... NOW I only wear Crocs! I used to wear heels ALL the time. HIGH ones! still have some that are ridiculous, but dh wont let me anywhere near them, he is afraid I will kill myself!

I try not to beat myself up on the weight thing-- if it happens-- cool! (ca-ching shopping trip!) if not.. hey at least I'm eating (tiny bit) better and moving more.

I bought some comfy "exercise" clothes.. ok over glorified sweats-- I made a deal with myself to take a walk EVERYDAY. That's how I lost a bunch last time.

Comfy to walk in sweats/shorts than jeans -- get up, grab something quick to eat and stroll for a bit.. come home shower and get dressed for real. Feels good so far.

Thats what we are starting to do now that it is getting warmer. After a winter of sitting on my tushy, I am ready to get out! I do WAY better during the day if I get up and moving first thing in the morning. Other wise I just want to be lazy all day. PLUS... I dont want my kids turning into a couch potato like me.
