cool:thumbsup2 I found a few web sites with some info on what's good, what isn't and prices. Nothing is final yet, we may just scrap the whole thing and go some other time.

We were thinking of going further north-- but it's closer to go to Las Vegas.. I dunno, can't decide.
What about SF/Oakland?

Gotta go, duty calls. (The clothes dryer beeps, actually...)
Hasta la vista, baby! :upsidedow

Ugh, I woke up this morning and felt like such crap! I ran to the bathroom and threw up 3 times.

Last night my bf and I ate at Mimi's Cafe. We haven't been there for a long time and I had a small cup of french onion soup and some chicken penne pasta. I didn't even finish the pasta but I woke up with a horrible stomach ache. :sad1: I called in sick this morning. Now my throat hurts but my bf was kind enough to bring me a glass of warm salt water to gargle (which has helped a bit).

ok pix...get yourself to the doctor straight away...I spent the entire week last week taking care of Amanda and bb because thats exactly what happened to her...she ended up with strep throat and threw up all over everything...dizzy, fever, chills and hot...it will only get worse...they had to give her 2 shots ..one was an antibiotic and the other was to reduce the swelling of her tonsils......then friday her brothers wife had her baby and he came down with the same thing and had to leave the hospital and they gave him the 2 shots as well

No way on earth i'd ever go to Vegas in the summer. It must feel a little too much like eternal damnation, I think. :rotfl2:
I got married in August in Vegas... They must have been having a cold snap because it was around 90 the whole time.

I find if you have AC you use it more often than planned.

For MN, we use it maybe two months of the year. It's not so much that it's hot (80's mostly, very rare to hit 90 - cooler at night), the humidity makes life unbearable.

With an apt, you don't get the cross breeze unless you have your door hanging open into the hall for everyone to walk by and see you.. too creepy. :scared:
We do... our kitchen window is directly across from the kids window.. VERY nice when its hot out.
I haven't kept close tabs since I'm sort of peripherally involved (since I have the family with me.) But the hyenas are planning to get together on Sat. (26th) morning, I think at/near the DLH. I don't know that details have been ironed out (at least I haven't heard a time and specific location yet), but that's the plan so far.

And I'm not sure who all is coming, either? I think Pix, Shawna and Bernice are day-trippers, Moto, Staley, Tinkermell are doing the whole shebang. I'm probably forgetting a few people...

We were hoping you and Andrea could postpone leaving on Sat. to at least come to the hyena thing for a bit?
I thought you were getting a blackout pass that day?

News to me.. unless Staley is kicking me out of the room :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:upsidedow :upsidedow I plan to stay Thursday to Sunday. Taking the metro on Thursday, hubby picking me up on Sunday. :goodvibes
Nope, I still have you down as my room buddy!!

We could meet up for lunch??
What's on the schedule for that day anyway? Is that the HOB day?? I haven't written anything down yet.

I would like to see the following on the front page of the girls only thread :

~times for the PS for each restaurant with the contact info and possibly a link to the menus

~Prices and contact info for each shirt, lanyard all in one place -- vs "check pg 53 of the thread" and how they plan to distribute the shirts.

~Times, cost , contact, where to meet info for the tour

I don't have patience to read 30 some pages to find a tiny scrap of info. We're running down to a month now, I know they have the PS done.. but where do u find the info unless you read the thread every day.

I dunno, maybe I'm just anal about having things planned out??
I think that Beth has writen down a schedule on the front page. I booked the Jazz Kitchen dinner for 6:30 for 15 people... I only have about 11 signed up right now. Thats Thursday.
Friday is the tour, and its from 2-6... Im not sure about any more of the info though, because the woman doing the tour is never on.
Saturday I booked the HOB dinner for 5:30 They only do ressies that late, and any later it will be walk in.
That's what I'm saying. I don't know what the plan is for the hyenas, other than getting together in the morning. :confused3

All I do know is that I can't go to the park.
Maybe breakfast somewhere? I know!! We could do a late breakfast somewhere. I cant think of anywhere to do that at the DLH, so maybe in DTD.. Rainforest Cafe or La Brea..
No, I agree, it is hard to keep track of everything. I obviously HAVEN'T kept track of everything, but when I figured out the PSes and tours and stuff, there wasn't anything I felt I could participate in. We won't be there until afternoon Fri., and then I think they're doing everything in the park on Sat.? The next day is DS3's birthday, so I want to spend the day with him. :lovestruc

Then Monday there wasn't anything planned. It's not a big deal, I was just hoping to do SOMETHING, one thing... :confused3
Monday everyone is going home. I think that I will be leaving at like 8 in the morning or something.
What are you guys thinking of doing there? I'd like to go sometime, just because I've never been. But DH and I don't really drink or gamble. He has family there that we could visit. Not sure what else we could do there, especially if the kids came along. :rotfl:

FIL was telling us about someplace that has a really cool pool. Maybe we'd just hotel-hop, hitting up the different pools.
Alex, there are so many things to do there, It is really not all gambling and drinking.
Since it's winter.. the hotel pools are closed. Or at least that's what I found for a few of the places.

Lots of free stuff to do and see, the Bellagio fountain, the pirate show thingie, the volcano, Venice canal , tiger habitat, penguins, aquarium, shops to oggle and ahhh over. Visual feast of sights.
When dh and I got married, part of our package was an Executive room at the Flamingo, and it was on the top floor and we had an AWESOME view of the fountain!! It was perfect!
Oh, I think I've seen a video clip of the Bellagio fountain, pretty! I would like to see that. :)

Too Pretty!

I saw, I just thought I had read somewhere that she was going to do a blockout pass for herself that day, and the kids would hang with hubby by the pool for a bit.

Easter Sunday to Tuesday morning.

I looked on i4vegas.com and there are several deals for that Sunday night.

sunset station is running $89 for Mon. and Tues...they have a great buffet and since you will be there during the week lunch is like $8.99 and dinner is $11.99 so no matter what you do...make sure you go at the tip end of lunch so you pay the lunch price and get the dinner fare they will change over to while your there:thumbsup2

Doesn't Hook's Point at DLH have breakfast?

I've heard mixed reactions to breakfast at Rainforest, we did it before it was good.. ohhhhhhh I know, the expensive place has breakfast for cheap .. darn what is called?? DTD they are associated with the Uva bar??
