So I'm thinking one day pass next week. 1 day pass in April and the magic music your ways ticket. :
So did your mom get back to you on the surgery thing? Is it for sure you'll only be able to go in April for 1 day? I was hoping you could go a bit longer. :(

:lmao: :lmao: we ended up eating at a nearby Taco Bell and going on a whale watching cruise that left from the front of the building. We would have been happier just going on the cruise instead of the aquarium and looking into the water. :rotfl:

Did you walk around all the little stores? There was a Pirate store that was pretty cool. DBF wanted everything in it. I found a Pirate Tink tote bag but it was $45.99. Too much for me. I'm going to look for it on eBay later today.

I know you wanted to take your precious boy with you, but you know what? You're going to have way more fun this way. You'll be able to spend more time on things you enjoy than being at the whims of a temperamental 1yo. Not that it isn't fun with a young one, it's just very different.

I can't wait until DS3 is old enough to go on everything. Though I suppose then he won't want to do the character thing, which I love right now. :goodvibes

i know your right...i was just sad well i still tear up a little bit thinking about it...I was so excited to take him and now its not happening...amanda said she would never tell me I couldnt take him but she was glad I reached that decision because she felt it was going to be hell :lmao: she knows I cant go to DL next year so she said we will go in feb or something the year after and just have a blowout trip:yay:

Hola Hyenas!!

This is my drive by Hello!!

Have a good day, and talk to ya tonight!!

Shawna, try to to come for two days girl if you can.
(I know, I'm not a very good influence.)

We did Underwater World at Mall of America-- it was just meh.

We had a better experience at the MN Zoo (free for us at the time since I worked for a non profit agency we got free tickets), they have a dolphin show and a huge aquarium where the staff scuba dive and hand feed, answering questions for people while in the tank. Plus another area where you can be up close to the tanks, touch a shark, etc.

Maybe becuase it was free I liked it more ? :confused3
Or it was more of a learning experience than the Underwater World thing where we felt rushed-- with its moving sidewalk.

They have toys tied into that show at Target-- really really CUTE and a novel idea to teach reading skills. I bet it would be useful to children with special needs.. thankfully my DN w autism fell in love with letters so getting that concept of "letters form words and represent this object" was not a problem for him.
I have never seen this show before today!

We saw other ones that were new in the fall; not sure if this was a mid-season replacement? DS likes WordGirl, I thought that was going to be on... I think she's a hoot, the humor in the show is funny for adults, too.

ok you guys I HAVE to tell you about this...I am completely 100% obsessed with this music group called the Celtic Women and you HAVE to listen to them...this song on here is my favorite of theirs and the girl who sings it is only 16:scared1: and her name is Chloe...they are all from Ireland and I want their album...take a listen and tell me what you think...its a video but I would rather you listen to this song moreso

I'm really thinking just one day off. Not only with the surgery thing but Dh can probably only get 2 days off total since he has to save his vacation and since my mom doesnt seem wiling to watch the kids for me regardless of surgery I think 1 will be my limit.

Oh well, glass half full right. I'll get to hang with you from 4am til 2am! :lmao:

Shoot I think we missed the pirate store. Was it in front of the harbor or in the aquarium. I remember one small gift shop in the aquarium but nothing like prates in there. We didnt go too far away from the entrance and our boat was about 100yards away from that. We never went further down the baordwalk.

Free is always good! the moving sidewalk would be cool. I usually love aquariums but the Aquarium of the Pacific with its name that makes you think it will be AWESOME was not so much....awesome.

I'm listening WOW she has a beautiful voice. I cant believe she is 16.

Ok, so I read about Pixie's unfortunate run over of the coyote.. told hubby about it and we talked about how my mom told me "drive carefully on the way home, I hit two deer this week"

Well that same day WE hit a deer-- I still say my mom cursed me with her advice.

Anyway, told hubby Pixie's story.. later on the drive back home from dropping off DN at Camp Pendleton.. we drove on this two lane road that curves this way and that to get back on the 15/ 215... I noticed a dead something or other mashed to the road (fresh looking, lots of traffic on this road) .. and very quickly see hop hop hop.

Da-THUNK

Hubby and I both go EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
Bunny didn't survive that huh? Nope.

ewwwwwwwwww

I wonder if it was checking on its freshly killed friend? YUCK

I guess we are just cursed, listen/read of people hitting animals.. and it happens to us :sad2:

are you kidding me???? you have their cd's...they are coming to Bakersfield in May and I soooooooooooooooooooo want to go...but the tickets are like $85.50...Im really going to try...I would love to see them in person....Chloe has the voice of an angel doesnt she?

Awwwww! My baby just said "banana"! :sad1:

He's always called it a "bahnna". He's giving up his baby words and pronouncing things correctly. I'm so sad!
