Really unbelievably beautiful. :)

They are coming here this month, maybe in a few weeks? I can't remember. Anyway, the tickets (through PBS) are like $250 (making your donation to PBS of course.) I don't know if you can buy them otherwise. :confused3

I just checked the prices here. They'll be here mid-April.
Wow! The tickets are $135 to nearly $1000!

I'm really thinking just one day off. Not only with the surgery thing but Dh can probably only get 2 days off total since he has to save his vacation and since my mom doesnt seem wiling to watch the kids for me regardless of surgery I think 1 will be my limit.

Oh well, glass half full right. I'll get to hang with you from 4am til 2am! :lmao:

Shoot I think we missed the pirate store. Was it in front of the harbor or in the aquarium. I remember one small gift shop in the aquarium but nothing like prates in there. We didnt go too far away from the entrance and our boat was about 100yards away from that. We never went further down the baordwalk.

No, not in the Aqurium but down the Boardwalk. There's lots of neat little stores. DBF's brother lives in LB, so does his cousin, so we go down that way quite a bit and I always like going in the little shops. Sometimes we park at his cousin's house and ride our bikes down there. It's only a few miles each way.

gosh alex you lucky ...they are going to be in seattle for 4 nights...april 17-20 and the tickets are $50 and $60

Looks like we will be going to Vegas for a short trip during Easter weekend-- found decent hotel rates, we can go on a Sunday to Tuesday arriving back home for dialysis Tuesday evening.

Doing all the free stuff, see the sights. Not into gambling and of course the boys will be with us.

Figured do it now, cheaper than summer. We will drive thru on the way home.. but we don't plan to do much stopping besides to eat, pee, and rest.

No way on earth i'd ever go to Vegas in the summer. It must feel a little too much like eternal damnation, I think. :rotfl2:

G, when are you moving? Right after school lets out, or are you going to travel a bit first?

Suprisingly the prices for The Orleans is cheaper that weekend than it is in the summer (or as far as they have listed) weird huh? Maybe because it's a Sunday into Monday rate?

I'm still hoping we can get out of our lease a month early. DN told us that he is going home for June and July before he gets deployed, kind of last chance for a big family party before he leaves. And we're going to miss it :guilty:

A few years ago DBF and I attended a funeral in Vegas in the summer. As we passed the World's Largest Thermometer in Baker is was close to 115 and this was 10:00pm at night! It was too too hot to be wearing black, that's for sure.

I think the hottest weather I've been in was at Lake Havasu over Labor Day weekend. We were tent camping. The showers had only hot water and our Thermometer keychain on our boat keys broke becuase it was over 120 degrees. We spent most of the days inside WalMart because it was air conditioned. We slept on the boat in the middle of the lake but it was still hot.

Lease expires July 26th, don't want to pay for two apts ina month.. so we will travel and arrive a few days before the 1st. Would have to wait for funiture to arrive anyway, it all works out nicely. We will stay wiht my sis for a few days.

At one point we debated flying the boys and cat back early (and maybe me too) -- less stress for the cat (ok, more stress for passengers to hear the cat crying for 3 hours but what can ya do?). We had found rates for really cheap.. but the sale price was only until June 15th-- too early to send the boys to Brenda's and no one to help hubby pack the truck.

School is out June 13th.
