It's busy as heck at work. My pain customer is giving me a hard time. Not responding to my e-mails on how to ship his orders, not answering the phone, so I talked to my boss and I'm just going to ship everything by ocean. If he doesn't like it, well, he had the information weeks in advance and should have said responded. :sad2:

I guess you all have disappeared. :(

Later Gator!

Well pix, I must go do the dishes... Lucky me, huh? :lmao: :lmao: Ill talk to you later!

Indeed!

 Say it aint so!!! The teletubbies?:lmao: Mikalah is WAY more Mickey Mouse. Thank goodness. but she would MUCH rather watch cartoons then whatever Alex likes. In fact, we are watching Care Bears right now. Her new favorite movie!:lmao:
Both the boys loved the Teletubbies! And I could tolerate them much better than all the Barney videos my friend gave me when her son outgrew them. I just cannot stomach Barney! :headache:

They'd be more into Mickey and the other Disney characters if we had cable and got the Disney channel; however, we're too cheap for that. ;)

So they watch a lot of PBS Kids now, and other than that, whatever DVDs or videotapes we have.

HI guys!!
This morning Kaitlyn got her braces on. They hurt her a little so I let her stay home the rest of the day, except we ended up going to Joanns to buy fabric for her play Alladin. We had so much fun, and she was having a great time picking out all the colors for everyone's genie pants.

Moto, I'm so sorry about your cousin. Things like that are so tragic and unexpected. :sad2:

Shawna, Morgan looks so cute!! :flower3:
Is she wearing a pair of her new shoes too? :yay:

Megan, you got at least one ticket taken care of. Yay for you!! I guess I better get on the ball. :rolleyes1

Hi Pix, Congrats on the purse!!:woohoo:

Dizzy! It's about time you show up again!:goodvibes

Hi Alison!:wave2:

Sorry I disappeared guys. Got busy, phone was ringing, managers with problems, me having to solve problems, the usual!

Hi Alison!:wave2:

Oh man!!! I remember how much it HURT having my braces put on! My DARN ortho told my mom not to take it easy on me, and to feed me STEAK the day they were put on! I am a giant wimp, and ended up crying myself to sleep that night!:lmao:

Yeah, I am definitely GOING to Disneyland... still debatable if I am coming back!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Im glad my kids are such little gourmets. I asked what they want for dinner.... Top Ramen!:lmao: :lmao:

So today I signed up for a couple of breast cancer retreats. Who knew all you had to do to get a free vacation was have cancer?!:lmao:

I'm an now officially on the list to go to a Casting for Recovery vacation where I will learn to fly fish and have a fun weekend relaxing with other breast cancer patients (either in Bend, OR; near Mt. Rainier, WA or in Elkton, OR (southern OR)). But so many women sign up for these that they usually end up drawing names to decide who gets to go.

I've also signed up for another retreat called Harmony Hill that is on Hood's Canal. They teach stress reduction skills, guided imagery, yoga, massage, and cooking with natural foods.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I got another Child support payment!!! I thought I was done getting them, since I hadnt gotten one for about a month or so. I wonder if it going to keep up.

The first time I got braces (I think I was 12yo?) my teeth were so crammed tight in my mouth that the orthodontist had to use a mallet to club the brackets onto my teeth, and then a crowbar kind of thing to pry them off if they were too big or too small.

I found out from friends who had braces that their orthodontists used 'spacers', little bits of rubber shoved in between their teeth a week or two before the braces were put on, to make a little room for fitting the brackets.

But that wasn't even the worst part. The worst part was getting them removed. You'd think it would be the happiest day, but having that **** doc crowbar these now cemented braces off my teeth was absolute torture! It felt like he was yanking them right out of my head! And in fact I have tiny fractures in my teeth because of it. What an idiot!

No wonder I was not eager to go another round with braces! But thank goodness a lot has changed in 30 years, and I think my ortho back then was a neanderthal for that time... :headache:

Weird! I take it you haven't spoken to him? He didn't show around Alex's bday?

I think last I heard I think you knew where he was, he had a steady job, and you were wondering if he'd just pop into your life suddenly around Alex's bday...

Nope... no contact, even at the boys birthday. I THOUGHT he had a job, and then we started to get checks on a different schedule..... Then they stopped all together. So imagine my surprise when I got an email notification today. :lmao: :lmao:

Are the first group all the same, fly fishing? and the other is more stress reduction? I'm not into fly fishing, but I can certainly see the attraction, it's definitely something that takes patience, skill, and calm. DH's grandfather used to tie his own flies, and so did mine. Maybe they all did back then? And now it's something of an art form, not too many people do that anymore. or at least you don't hear about it very often.

The first group is nationwide and they have companies that sponsor these retreats for breast cancer survivors. They feel that it is a good exercise for them, gets them outdoors, etc... They have other things they do over the weekend also, stress relieving, dealing with life after diagnosis, speakers, etc... but the main focus is on enjoying fly fishing. They provide all the equipment and teach you how to do everything. All lodging, meals, everything is free. Some of the ladies on the Komen board signed up for it last summer and had a blast.

The second group is a local (Washington) lady that started a cancer retreat on Hood's canal. It focuses on both during and after cancer, healthy living, relaxing, yoga, healthy eating, etc..

Last night I was flipping channels while DISing, and stumbled across some Barbara Walters thing about the royal family. I think it was about half over by the time I started watching, she was talking about the crown jewels and how only one staff member (I forget his title, something like Master of the Crown Jewels) is allowed access to them or to touch them.

There's a thread today about the show, and apparently earlier in the show they showed a photography session for the queen with Annie Liebovitz. I love her work, absolutely love it! But she asked the queen, sitting in elegant dress and royal robes and crown, if she'd remove the crown, and the queen said no. Some viewers thought the queen sounded cranky, others thought it was an impertinent question to ask, yet others said they looked like they were having a good time together, the queen simply said she'd have to get her hair redone without the crown... and she did wind up doing it after all.

And they're beautiful photos, my gosh! In one she's sitting in a gilded chair in a gorgeous, ornately furnished room, next to an open window overlooking a park-like view. Wow!

Well I can almost hear the 5:00 work whistle so I'm headed out of here. Everyone have a wonderful evening!

And I know you lovely ladies that live further south don't care, but for those of us stuck up North in the dark. YAHOO!!! Daylight savings time starts this weekend!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
