I pay everything online. I saw an ad for Tinkerbell checks that I wanted to order but then I realized that I can't remebmber the last time I wrote a check. I still have a whole box full in the closet.

I got Build-A-Bear checks from my bank. I had Disney ones but they didn't carry that style anymore. :( I got cute Mickey & Friends and Classic Pooh address labels from www.checksinthemail.com They also sell cute Disney & Hello Kitty checks.

I pay most of my bills through www.mycheckfree.com They send me an alert when they receive an e-bill.

Check out mini me!

I knew you guys would think this was funny! :cool2:

Good morning, hyenas!

So far my morning is... OK. We'll see how the day goes.

It started off with DS7 crawling into bed with DS3 and me. These two boys cannot lay in the same bed and sleep, or even be still or be quiet, so of course they started in with the tickling and then kicking and slapping. (OK, I needed to be up in 40 minutes anyway, but I really wanted more sleep!) :headache:

So I told DS7 to go get dressed. He ignored me, they calmed down for a minute, then started in again. So I sat up and looked him right in the eyes (which is not that easy when I'm just waking up and not wearing my glasses!), told him I wasn't going to ask again, next time I was going to get a timer.

I don't know why, but ever since he was very little, he's been totally freaked out by the timer! He could not get out of bed fast enough! :lmao:

He came back all dressed, so I stumbled out of bed and got DS3 dressed, then shooed them downstairs for breakfast. When I got downstairs I noticed DS7 was nowhere to be found, and the TV armoire was open. (I'd closed it last night because they are not suppose to watch TV in the morning unless they are completelly ready for school and there's extra time.)

I called out into the seemingly empty room, "DS7, what are you doing?" The silence was deafening.

So then I said, "DS7, I know you're in here, what do you think you're doing?" I hear a little, "Nothing..."
"Nothing? And what are you supposed to be doing?"
"Sitting at the table, waiting for my breakfast."
"So don't you think you should be doing that?"

He hopped up out of the chair he'd been hiding in and went to the dining room table.

I gave them each a bowl of cereal, and told DS7 that when he was done with it, he was to go upstairs and brush his teeth, get his shoes on, and then begin his reading homework, which he had not done last night. "OK, Mama."

I hoped that would keep him from torturing his brother while I took a quick shower. When I was in the shower DS3 came in playing with some noisy sort of toy, and I kept hearing a THUD THUD THUD every few seconds. THUD THUD THUD... THUD THUD THUD... THUD THUD THUD...

"DS7? What are you doing?"
Silence.
"DS7?"
"What, Mama?"
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing..." GOSH, I really hate it when he says that. :headache:
"Come here. Son, I already know what you're doing, I'm waiting for you to tell me."
"I was just getting ready to brush my teeth."
"No you weren't. Why don't you tell me now what you were really doing?"
"Ummm... That is what I was doing."

"DS7, what kind of ball was it?"
 "Uhhhhh..."
"Never mind. Why aren't your teeth brushed?"
"Well, I was just about to do that, but then you called me in here." (Oh, it's my fault his teeth aren't brushed!)
"You have 5 minutes to brush your teeth. Go now."

After that I gave him a lecture about how I was tired of telling him to do something 5 times and he was still ignoring me. From now on I'm going to ask him once, and if it doesn't get done in the time allotted, it doesn't get done and he'll have to deal with the consequences. I'm trying to make sure he gets ready for school and gets to school on time, that's all. Who am I doing this for, me? "No, for me."
"OK then. I think you better listen."

Things went much better after that. We'll see how long that lasts.

The drop-offs at the two schools went well, and when I went back to DS7's class to do some work for his teacher, there was a sub and they were headed off to a school assembly. So I went for a mocha and now am doing laundry and some dishes. :)

Moto, I'm so sorry about your cousin. Such a senseless, tragic accident.

Shawna, is that one of Morgan's new outfits/shades/shoes from the shopping spree? Cute! :thumbsup2

Around Christmas time, I think it was, I was wondering what had happened to a bunch of size 7 pants I'd bought for DS7 at the beginning of the school year. At the time he was still fitting 6s, so his drawer was full of 6s and a couple of 7s. Once he outgrew the 6s, I couldn't find the new ones I'd bought!

Well, when he was cleaning out his room on Sunday I found the box of new pants! They still had tags and hadn't been washed, so I pulled all the tags and put them in the laundry (which is now heaping full!) And darned if those look like they won't even fit him long... I think he must have had a growth spurt recently, because a pair of his (size 7) pants he wore today looked a tad short.

He weighs 63 lbs, and I think he was around 52-55 at the beginning of the school year. And he is by no means chubby, so where did it all go? Must be up! :confused3

DS3 is something like 35.5 lbs, no idea if that is typical for his age (3 yrs 10 mos.) He does tend to be a bit on the scrawny side and is more of a snacker than a good eater. Thank goodness he likes to eat cheese and yogurt and fruit, otherwise he'd probably live on Ritz crackers. :rotfl:

All right, dang it, I've procrastinated long enough. You have forced me to get back to my pile of laundry. :rotfl2:

If I can get I'll get Day 3 of my TR up today. It's mostly completed, I think just the very end to finish and re-reading to make sure I included everything I wanted to.

I forget some things, then after I post it think, "Darn! I forgot to include that he asked me as the plane took off, 'Mama, are we there yet?' " :rotfl:

I was just digging through my recipe box and found my Great Grandmother's Sheet cake recipe. If she "Nannie" were still alive today, she would be over 100 years old.

Nannie's Sheet Cake
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Sift together and set aside.

Melt in saucepan
1 stick butter
1/2 cup Crisco
4 Tablespoons cocoa
1 Cup water
Bring to a full boil. Pour over sugar, flour & salt.
Add:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
Stir well, pour in pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Icing
1 stick butter melted in sauce pan
4 teaspoons cocoa
6 Tablespoons milk
Bring to boil, pour over 1 box powdered sugar:scared1: . Add nuts.

I have never made this, but I can remember my great grandmother, grandmother and mother all making this recipe when I was a kid and liking it. Maybe I will try it this weekend. This just has artery clogging written all over it doesn't it. By the way, my greatgrandmother owned a cotton farm in Texas and was an excellent cook!
Alison I make this recipe all the time. Except we call them Texas Sheet Cake Brownies. My recipe calls for butter instead if shortening, and vanilla to the frosting, but everything else is the same. Through the years, I've also cut the frosting in half, which is still plenty to cover the pan.
I also use a jelly roll pan, which makes them into the brownies size. I used to make them for my DD's dance team. One girl liked them so much, that she did a report on them for school called "Mrs. Brinkman's Brownies." :rotfl: They are that good!!

Chocolate anyone??:cloud9:

Dizzy!!! Whats up? Are you moved???

Okay.... Boring morning so far. I napped on the couch, and I ate a ton. I asked dh WHY on EARTH am I so hungry? Uhhhh.... DUH. Baby, tummy... You figure it out. :sad2: Whatever, Im hungry! Even he is starting to notice a change in my body... Well... My fingers, and my feet, and my ummmm girls. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Mikalah is now napping on the couch. She hasnt taken a nap in about a week!

GRRRRR! That's my stomach growling! :rotfl: I took DBF to Costco on lunch to pick up his contacts and get his glasses adjusted and we didn't have time to eat.

Then I tried to get something out of the vending machine at work and it won't take my dollar.

Hi Guys!

So sorry about your cousin Moto. DH has been gone the last two days at his cousin's funeral. It was down on the Southern Oregon Coast. He just got back about an hour ago. Didn't mention it on here, just in case any internet weirdos know where the State of Confusion is at and want to come murder me & the kids while DH is gone.

So Moto, did you see that my future son in law, Davi Milsaps won in Atlanta?:thumbsup2

Yes. :rotfl: And I saw Windham take first in Houston. It's OK Chad's back in action with a 1st last weekend. :woohoo: DBF and I are deciding if we want to go to Vegas for the finals in May.

Yeah, but what's sad is that we both know that Stewart will be back next year and kick all their butts!:lmao:

I just realized that the Seattle Supercross is the same weekend as the Ladies Only DL trip. Not that I'm probably going to be able to go to DL, but I have a feeling I will be in Seattle instead.

When we went to the Anaheim rounds I wanted to DL in the morning before the races but we never did.

Hi, all. :)

I just finished updating my TR, and am sitting down with some lunch finally. (Sorry to eat in front of you when you're so hungry, Moto.) :guilty:

Sam, on your thought of the day: It's definitely the latter, because DS7 can do the former, but he can't quite get the hang of the latter. :rotfl2:

Yep its one of her many outfits and new :cool2: and new shoes!

One of the boys yesterday said she was a "hottie, hot, hot" :scared1: I asked her what that meant and she said she didnt know for sure but she didnt like it. I'm glad she has a little innocence left in her. :sad2:

I just weighed Jake who just turned 5 and he weighs exactly 36lbs with jeans and a t-shirt on. He's so tiny. Hes starting to grow taller and catch up but his waist is a toothpick.

I read your trippie Alex! How fun!

I bought my plane ticket for the LO trip! It looks like prices went up a bit, but only like $4. or something. Still... a deal! Especially since I am only buying the one ticket. :rolleyes1 :lmao: :lmao:

Alex, I need to catch up on your TR but I'm running off to dance. I also need to catch up on spongies I'll try to do that tonight.
