Katherine Hepburn. The lady had spunk! She did what she wanted in a tasteful manner. She wore pants when women weren't allowed to wear pants. She lived life on her terms and how she was comfortable, yet somehow always managed to keep her personal life personal. One classy, spunky lady!

What are you afraid of?

Breast cancer. They make it look all pink & pretty, but it's not it's the scariest thing I've ever seen.

I have a horrible headache for 2 days now. I have to stop drinking caffeine for my surgery and it's tough. Apparently caffeine constricts your blood vessels and so I have to quit eating or drinking anything with caffeine in it a month before and two months after my surgery. If the blood vessels that they move and reattach have a good blood flow I will be less likely to have fat necrosis. Which is basically the fat they move dieing off because it doesn't have good blood flow. Then if parts die they have to go cut them out, try to rearrange fat. Basically makes things lumpy and not so pretty.

I have been giving myself 1/2 - 1 cup of coffee every morning for the past few days, but that's it. By next week I can't have any. I NEED a Starbucks fix now and a Grande decaf skinny sugar free vanilla latte just isn't going to cut it!

Morning. Well, Jake is home sick from school today so no WW for me this morning. He has a cough and threw up in my bedroom this morning. He also has a mild fever. I need to get him better before my in-laws come here and he has his big party this weekend.

This is a drive by post because I need to clean some more so tomorrow I can put up a new picture wall in my house and get started on the splash mountain cake!

alison, Hopefully your body will adjust quickly and the headaches will be gone soon. Until now lets beat it out of you....

Good Morning Hyenas!

"It never rains in California"...... HA!! It's raining this morning. It was sunny yesterday and was shocked to find it raining.

I've been dropping my little sister off to school in the morning. My parents are travelling on business. I don't like waking up so early! At least she lives close by. I also have the pleasure of dealing with mad moms in minivans and SUV's who plow through the school parking lot On a happier note I got to grab some breakfast from Starbucks this morning. Their drive-thru at Starbucks looked like the line for the Matterhorn. I went inside instead and didn't have to wait long at all. I got an Odwalla Orange Juice and a Chop Chop Salad. I also got a pack of Madeleines.

Shawna, I hope your headache is gone. Sorry to hear Jake is sick, I hope it passes quickly. The boy has a big weekend to prepare for!!!

Sam, sorry you're having a headache, especially for so long. Yesterday seemed to be the day for headaches! I swear, half the hyenas were talking about having a bad headache yesterday.

Yours is for a good cause, so hang in there! I took some Excedrin Tension Headache something-or-other pills (and had a nap) and it worked like a champ! Hope you find something to take care of it ASAP, it's surprising how a bad headache sucks all your energy.

Pixster, I don't know if it's true, but I heard somewhere that Starbucks is getting rid of their sandwiches and salads to focus back on the drinks and baked goods (snack items)...?

Not sure if they just weren't popular enough, or what? The few items I've had have been good, but I almost always just get a drink or a drink and snack.

Okay... After waking up at 5am and drinking about a gallon of dang water.... My ultrasound was just as inconclusive as before. Apparently my uterus is tilted so far back, that it is just to dang hard to date the pregnancy. Or see a heartbeat. So... I dont know. The doctor is going to call me after the radiologist examines the pics they got. We could SEE the baby. Just not well. Whatever. Im not going to worry until they tell me I definitely have something to worry about.

ANYWAYS. Yesterday was Alex's first day at the new school. WOW. They had the police out with thier lights going, and at least 2 different motorcycle clubs, and all the city council, and the Old Country Buffet Bee... The school board.. all kinds of people all lined up outside the school doors like a recieveing line... as soon as we walked up, they all started cheering, and handing the kids pencils and coupons and stuff.. Shaking DH's hand. WEIRD! I am so glad we decided to take Alex to school, it was really overwhelming for the kids! Heck. It was overwhelming for me! But MAN! That school is NICE. I almost wish we were staying in the area.
