No worries, I was fading fast, too. In fact, between 10 and 10:30 I kept nodding off, and that blasted child of mine kept waking me! :rotfl:

I finally got up to go to bed. He ran ahead of me then came running back saying, "Mama, Daddy won't wake up to talk to me!" :headache:

"Honey, no! Don't wake Daddy, Daddy is sleeping! Daddy needs to sleep!"
"But why, Mama? I want to talk wiss him." :sad2:

Mental note: Do not let Ds3 nap until 5:30pm again...[/QUOTE]

:rotfl: Too funny! Wild man at night!

so I just got back from getting my eyebrows waxed. Remember I am competely covered in pale skin so this makes my skin RED for much longer than the average person. I had planned on going to Joann's afterwards to sign up for the 3rd and final cake class but I forgot how shocking it is after I wax. So now I am home waiting for 30 minutes before heading to the school. I hope they have calmed down by then or else I will scare the kids! :scared1:

I look like this even more now.

I have ridiculously pale skin...Its quite horrifying. I went to my local salon, and they have some special technique, and I never even got red! It was great!
How weird, I just saw this post of yours! :confused3

Anyway, my friend (that was raving about them) said she's always hated her feet, thinks they're horribly ugly, and certainly wouldn't want anyone to touch them, but her mom or sister or somebody gave her a gift certificate for one when she was PG. So she went and did it, and loved it! She wants us all to go together sometime, and the others didn't seem too horrified ( ), and I'll admit I'm curious. So we probably will when the weather is nice enough to wear sandals afterward. ;)

I do not have feminine feet by any means, they're huge! (size 9.5)
But I do like wearing flip flops and sandals if the weather isn't too cold. I should do something to care for the skin, because it's very dry and tough and sometimes cracks. I have no idea how to care for them, though! :confused3

I got this really thick lotion from BBW once, it's intended to treat super dry skin on your feet. But I put it on and put socks over it one evening, and it just felt... icky. And the socks are too hot to wear to bed, so that wouldn't work overnight. I don't know.

I used to do it ALL the time when I was pg with Alex. Then I stopped and didnt have them done til I was pg with Mikalah. I guess I only have the urge wheni am with child!:lmao: :lmao: My feet are horrid, I thinkit is because of the crocs. :rolleyes1

That sounds like I would look, very pale with bright red where they'd just worked. :rotfl:

I've never waxed my eyebrows, how long does it last? I just pluck, but I don't do it as often as it needs, I suppose. They're wispy but dark little hairs, and I don't notice them right away. Then suddenly I look like Chewbacca and go on a plucking frenzy!

A few weeks. You should try it, I have been doing it since I was 14 or so... But then I am VERY hairy. Mine grows back in about a week. But I am NOT the norm!

Instead of waxing, have you heard of a technique called "threading"? I think I read it comes from India, and is all the rage. It's basically using to threads twisted together as a plucking device, and is supposed to be more gentle a technique. No idea if it costs more or less than waxing... :confused3

You know how I told you guys the other day that DS3 was lapping water out of a pet bowl? Now he's lapping again, but at my upper chest! WTH??? My shirt has some little decorative metal things stuck on it there, and he keeps picking at them, and now pretending to lap at them. It's very weird! I keep pulling him of my chest or pulling his hands away, because he tries to pull them off with his hands. :sad2:

I have heard of threading, but I dont know where they do it. I would love to give it a go.

OMG. Look what I just found on the Gene Juarez website!

A few years ago I got a Gene Juarez gift certificate, and used it to get my hair done. The salon offers (as a freebie) an additional service you can choose from, so I chose to have my eyebrows done. The aesthetician plucked and shaped (and told me my eyebrows are pretty sparse), and showed me how to use a pencil to fill in the gaps. It came out looking very nice and surprisingly natural, but not something I thought I could replicate at home. :rotfl:

I really am pretty pathetic with all the girly stuff, I barely ever wear make-up, and when I have a cold (I still have that darn thing from the trip), I sound like a man... like the dark-haired guy from Oak Ridge Boys, remember him? :scared1:

Waxing costs about $15.00 and it lasts me about 5 weeks but I have blonde hair so you dont notice my eyebrows. At first I was terrified but it doesnt really hurt more than a second. And now its not really a hurt just like "oh she just did it." I can get a better shap with waxing than I do plucking on my own.

Staley last time I dont remember being this red because they put some sort of other gel on afterwards. I should have asked her because its not going down now. I also read it has to do with the temp of the wax. Maybe it was hotter this time? :confused3

Oh Alex, I wear a 9.5 WIDE too! Dont be afraid of the pedicure. here we wear sandals year round so I really love them. Origins makes a GREAT heal cream called Reinventing the Heal. It works WONDERS on my feet!

Now if we could just find a Gene Juarez next to a Cheesecake Factory... :lmao:

I've never done a facial. Not sure which one to choose if I did. I would like to try someday though.

That threading looks interesting. I might have to look around here for it and give it a try.

I have really bad skin, and the worst part was when she did the extractions. It was horrid... and it HURT.

OMG, it's not going down??? I wonder what the gel is, some sort of cooling type of thing?

I have sensitive skin and break out in a rash or acne at just about anything. I went to one of those home makeover parties one time, and broke out horribly afterward, so I guess that's also why I don't wear a lot of stuff. When I worked FT I used to wear full make-up, but I remember having to try several brands before I found one that didn't make my skin break out. After a few years it was discontinued, and I never found another one like it. (By then our office had gone "casual dress" and I guess I took that to mean my face, too.)

South Center...:rolleyes1 We were out there over the weekend, and they just opened up a Cheesecake Factory. :cool1: :cool1:
Hmmm, that's not too far for me... :rolleyes1

Oh, who am I kidding? I can just see us in there with our 4 (soon to be 5) children. They'll pay us to leave! :rotfl:

Yikes i have to run to the school. I love Bare Escentuals makeup because in one swipe it covered the red!!! That stuff is the BEST I hardly wore makeup before I found this because it never looked right.

Ok see you later girls. I need to run!

Yes its a cooling type of gel and she put it on today just not sure if there was a different one used last time. If not I'll teach at the school like this....:cool2: That would be AWESOME!
