ima go lay down...i just took some medicine so hopefully I can go to sleep soon...I will talk to you guys tomorrow....:grouphug:
Awww, Lynn. I hope you get some rest, and do go in to see the doc ASAP if it's not better.

Wow! I remember in HS saving for months to get contact lenses. :rotfl:

I had/have poor vision and always hated wearing glasses. My mom refused to consider getting contact lenses for me, saying there was nothing wrong with wearing glasses. (She wears them, as did my dad and 2 of my 3 siblings.) She told me I could get contact lenses if I saved up the money for the exam, fitting and lenses myself. So I did.

She told me years later that she was so proud of me for doing that!

much better purchase than a liz bag I'd say. Well Done! :lmao: My parents had us pay for the "luxuries in life" I guess you could say so when I was 15 I started working at a chinese restaurant making about $3.00 an hour and I worked 6 hours per week. Well if I remember correctly Liz bags cost about $125 back then. So you can imagine the months it took to save for them!!! I think my dad pitched in every now and then if I was close and they were on sale because he saw how hard I saved for one. I grew up pretty wealthy but my parents did not believe in spoiling us at all. In fact when we lived in Kansas City I had no clue we had money. It wasnt until we moved to Paradise Valley in AZ that I figured it out. It was frustrating to see my friends get several Liz bags handed to them and I had to work my tail off for one. Now I appreciate what they did for us (escpecially since I didnt marry for money ;) )

DS3 is still up. He napped today, and I wasn't paying attention to the clock. He woke at 5:30. :headache:

So when DH went to bed a little bit ago, DS3 was not ready to sleep, so he's sitting next to me watching a Scooby Doo DVD.

He's in a very chatty mood, keeps asking, "Mama? Mommy? You know...I had da pirate and da treasha chess, and [DS7] had...ummmm..." He's talking about these things that grow when you put them in water. DS7 had this octopus that turned into this enormous, grotesque looking thing! :scared:

dont read this to your ds!!!

:rotfl2: When we get those they never look like they are supposed to. they always turn out like monsters so dh said its some evil plan to have everyone buy them then the monsters will take over the world. Kind of like the Kim Possible So the Drama movie! :lmao: which is where I think he got the idea! :lmao: :lmao:

Whyy do I feel like my post count has been stuck in the 8000's forever. Not that I need to get up there so to speak but geez I think I've posted more than that. :confused3

I haven't seen Kim Possible, maybe I should? :rotfl:

But seriously, they look so gross! The pirate and treasure chest got weirdly squishy and distorted. And that octopus got so huge, and has these big nubbies on it, it really is hideous! The boys just left them in their bathroom sink for the longest time and I finally got sick of looking at them, so DH took them out of the water. The pirate and chest were so squishy and slimy that when DS3 played with them, the pirate lost a leg, and then DS pulled the treasure chest apart. But that dang octopus is tough! And the next day he was back in the water. I assumed the boys did it, but do you suppose...? :scared1:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: It makes sense. It seems to be the only monster looking one of your bunch. Watch your back.

Well, I'm yawning like crazy so I must go to sleep or else at the school tomorrow I'll tell the kids to stuff it!

Talk to you later!

You need to break out that priority chart again, my girl.

J/K. :rotfl2:

You are so busy, I can't believe how busy you are taking care of everyone! It's a wonder you have time to DIS at all.

Good night, Shawna. :cloud9:

GOOD MORNING HYENAS!

Yikes sorry to leave you so quick Alex! I was dropping fast!:cloud9:

Today my Aunt, my dads sister, is coming to our part of town so we are taking her to lunch. I have to volunteer at the school first then lunch with My Aunt and my mom. then the usual dance routine at night. I have a ton of :laundy: to get through as well. Didnt I just do that?????????????:lmao:

Oh and I'm going to get my BAMBI Easter stuff down from the attic. I almost forgot I bought that last year! I'm so excited!!!

I hope you all have a great day!

Hmmm....a DEBT card?? :lmao: I guess that's another name for it!
It was late... I was tired. :lmao: :lmao: Debit.
Oh sure I hop on and Megan leaves! Poo!!
Sorry. :guilty:
Please tell me you are not trying to break it to me that your DH is ninja dude, swinging the assault weapon around at everyone? :scared1:

No, but on my first GYN exam at 16, my mom's doc told me, "You pretty girl! You have *** soon, so I give you BC!" :scared1:

And a friend of mine was told (around the same age) by a male doc that she had "fine birthing hips." Not what you want to hear at that age. :scared:

I know, and why do we think that? Do we think spiders are too stupid to realize what's about to happen when they see a big hind end coming at 'em? That they don't see the flash of light and then the eclipse and think to themselves, "Holy Moses! Run for your life!" :rotfl2:
Hardly. My dh has this crazy thing... I believe its called A BRAIN!:lmao: :lmao: He is very into gun safety, he just likes assault rifles. it doesnt bother me, as long as he takes me to Disneyland when I want!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Okay, that Doc would have been pulling my shoe out of his butt.

I dnt kow why I hink that that. I know, totally spaztic.
Wow, that's quite a shopping spree! I used to love buying shoes, and I never bought 13 pair in one day, I think my record was 3 pair. :rotfl:

So what kind of shoes, how come so many? And what kind of outfits did she get?

What a fun day! My mom would never have done a day of fun and spa type stuff, so I never really knew a lot about girly types of things like that. In fact, for an upcoming Girls Night Out, we're talking about all going to get a pedicure! I've never even had a manicure before, so a pedi is kinda scary to me, but my friend assures me it is soooo nice and so relaxing! She said she hates her feet, but afterward couldn't wait to get a new pair of sandals so she could show off the pretty polish! :rotfl:
13 pairs of shoes? Mikalah has ONE pair of shoes. (I only have one that I wear)

Alex, I DO love a pedicure. In fact, I was just thinking about getting one.
no its like in the middle of my ear....

ty shawna...i hate going to the doctor but if it doesnt feel better by tomorrow I will
Be careful with that. When I was birthin the girl, I had a really bad earache at the hospital, along with a cough... I had freaking pneumonia!

Good morning, hyenas!
Cold, dark and wet here. Blah. :(

Yeah, that was my parents' philosophy as well. We didn't have a lot of money (though kids are completely unaware of that sort of thing), but they did expect to pay for college for us, and also they occasionally did something big (costly) for us. Like not too long after that I really wanted to do a summer exchange program through the Lion's Club, so my parents agreed to pay for it. It was $1200 to go to Australia for 8 weeks. Not too bad when you consider the airfare alone was that! :thumbsup2

They 'financed' motorcycles for my brother, as well as getting them out of various financial scrapes. My sister also has had a lot of financial messes they cleaned up, and they also sent her on a Senior Trip to DL after HS graduation.

Oops, gotta run the boy to school. See ya!

Boooo.... Is anyone here? Come out and play! I went grocery shopping this morning. Exciting, huh? Not really. We took Alex to school... thats his new thing. I dont mind, as long as he doesnt want me to pick him up after school.

Yikes sorry to leave you so quick Alex! I was dropping fast!:cloud9:
No worries, I was fading fast, too. In fact, between 10 and 10:30 I kept nodding off, and that blasted child of mine kept waking me! :rotfl:

I finally got up to go to bed. He ran ahead of me then came running back saying, "Mama, Daddy won't wake up to talk to me!" :headache:

"Honey, no! Don't wake Daddy, Daddy is sleeping! Daddy needs to sleep!"
"But why, Mama? I want to talk wiss him." :sad2:

Mental note: Do not let Ds3 nap until 5:30pm again...

:rotfl: Too funny! Wild man at night!

so I just got back from getting my eyebrows waxed. Remember I am competely covered in pale skin so this makes my skin RED for much longer than the average person. I had planned on going to Joann's afterwards to sign up for the 3rd and final cake class but I forgot how shocking it is after I wax. So now I am home waiting for 30 minutes before heading to the school. I hope they have calmed down by then or else I will scare the kids! :scared1:

I look like this even more now.

How weird, I just saw this post of yours! :confused3

Anyway, my friend (that was raving about them) said she's always hated her feet, thinks they're horribly ugly, and certainly wouldn't want anyone to touch them, but her mom or sister or somebody gave her a gift certificate for one when she was PG. So she went and did it, and loved it! She wants us all to go together sometime, and the others didn't seem too horrified ( ), and I'll admit I'm curious. So we probably will when the weather is nice enough to wear sandals afterward. ;)

I do not have feminine feet by any means, they're huge! (size 9.5)
But I do like wearing flip flops and sandals if the weather isn't too cold. I should do something to care for the skin, because it's very dry and tough and sometimes cracks. I have no idea how to care for them, though! :confused3

I got this really thick lotion from BBW once, it's intended to treat super dry skin on your feet. But I put it on and put socks over it one evening, and it just felt... icky. And the socks are too hot to wear to bed, so that wouldn't work overnight. I don't know.

That sounds like I would look, very pale with bright red where they'd just worked. :rotfl:

I've never waxed my eyebrows, how long does it last? I just pluck, but I don't do it as often as it needs, I suppose. They're wispy but dark little hairs, and I don't notice them right away. Then suddenly I look like Chewbacca and go on a plucking frenzy!
