Hello Hyenas! This is supposed to be my slow time at work, but I've been busy working on 401K issues that have to be resolved before year end. We are having a top heavy issue with heavily compensated employees, so we are having to switch to a safe harbor 401K so they can continue to contribute maximum amounts. Geez, can't remember when I've ever had so much fun reading IRS legalese! Not to mention that we wouldn't be having this problem if one of our manager's would have made 9 cents less last year! Yes folks, I've spent all week dealing with complex 401K regulations brought on by someone making 9 cents too much, which put him into a highly compensated employee category according to the IRS! I was ready to just send the IRS a dime, but it doesn't quite work that way. But of course I can laugh about it now because we have it all figured out!

I'm hungry for something but don't know what. First I tried Organic Trail Mix...nope that's not what I wanted. Then I had a grapefruit....tasty, but didn't really satisfy me. Had a handful of grapes, but didn't taste real good after the grapefruit. Now I just got a bag of Black Bean tortilla chips -- yeah much better!

Holy cow!! I am surprised its snowing... Well, maybe not, It was pretty cold here today. We are supposed to get it on saturday.

Holy cow!! I am surprised its snowing... Well, maybe not, It was pretty cold here today. We are supposed to get it on saturday.

I'm up on a hill too. We're at about 875 feet, so sometimes we get snow when the lowlands don't. That last couple of days our rain has been mixed with snow. I don't think it's going to last long, it's already tapering off and we just have a light dusting. It's supposed to warm up tonight, but who knows? The last time the weatherman said that we got snowed in for about a week.

I think dh is on his way in there to finish them off. Between him and Mikalah, i am lucky to keep a package of cookies for more then 2 days. But... they are chocolate chip with m&ms... YUM!!

DANG! The kids like my chips! They're making these healthy snacks too tasty now. I really didn't think they would like Black Bean tortilla chips. Go figure! I'm not sure why I'm eating bean chips when I have a pot of navy beans soaking for tomorrow. That's all I need double gas!!

Today I had to go to 2 stores to find ham hocks. None at Albertson's, even asked the butcher. None at Fred Meyer, but then I asked the butcher and they had some in back. Don't people use ham hocks for beans anymore? They make them taste so much better than just ham or bacon. I may have to start raising my own pigs, so I can have access to ham hocks!

I dont know... I just use the ham bone when I have ham for dinner. Yum!!! The guys that work with dh are always especially thankful when we have it! But they are gross about such things, so I dont mind dh blowing them out of the building!

Think I'll make some oatmeal cookies this weekend. At least I don't feel so guilty about eating them if they have something good in them! Boy can you tell I'm in winter mode - beans & oatmeal! I've been craving beans for about a week now, along with some cornbread and maybe I can get DH to fry some potatoes and onions with it tomorrow night. Might as well turn my healthy dinner into something unhealthy. YUM!!
