Cool!! Our wedding rings are silver, they have lasted us pretty good this long!

Not bad, considering they only cost us $20. for the pair.
Costco has some very pretty jewelry and the prices look good. My wedding ring was $300 and DH's band was about $100. Still have them, but one of my little diamond chips on the side fell out a few months ago so I have to get it fixed. But for our 10th anniversary he got me a pretty anniversary band that I like and wear on my middle finger (appropriate don't you think?

).
So instead of my wedding ring I've been wearing my great grandmother's wedding band (that lady had BIG fingers!). I just don't have the heart to have it have it sized down. So I wear another ring after it to hold it on. When my mother was in the hospital and we had to let her off life support, the nurse came in and told us we should remove her rings, otherwise they would be cut off of her. So she got some lotion and helped us work the rings off. My sister was standing on her left, so she got her wedding ring and I was on the right so I got my great grandmother's wedding that she wore on that hand. My great grandmother passed away when I was in my 20's, so I knew her pretty well. She was an awesome lady, so spunky, independent and full of life. Her name was Lilly and I always hoped I would be like her. She died peacefully in her sleep in her late 80's. She had to quit driving the last few years of her life, but replaced her car with a giant tricycle that she rode to the store every day that she could. It had a giant basket on the front - I'm going to get one of those when I get old!
OK, I'm soooo tired! Last night I was out until 12:30. It was another Girls Night Out; we went to dinner at a little pizza/pasta place, then when they closed we headed over to Starbucks, and sat outside in the cold for 2.5 hours chatting!
I've felt tired and ill all day, so going to take myself to bed and hopefully get a decent night's sleep.
Good night, all!
Wow Alex, you're turning into a regular Party Animal! So let me get this straight. You fall asleep at 9pm when talking to the Hyenas, but you stay awake all night with the "Other Girls"! Guess we are just getting too boring! J/K... But maybe you're onto something. Should you start DISing from outside so the cold will keep you awake??
I'm on ring number 3.
First ring was from an antique store about $30, the ruby settings stuck out alot so I couldn't wear it while working as a nurse, gave it to MIL.. who promptly lost the settings in it
Simple gold band from Kmart

Hubby's band got bent
He replaced them on our 10th anniversary with comfort fit gold bands.. I love mine and he wears his on and off during the day-- his is a little loose right now.
I don't feel so bad now that I wore out my first ring! I guess if you stay married long enough that's what happens. It's a good sign!

DD and I were just talking yesterday -- DH and I started dating 24 years ago this month!
Extremely early good morning hyena's!!!
Good news is I am all caught up - I think. DH is passed out - but he opens in four hours. I will check in tomorrow if anyone is here, but I close until Thanksgiving when we are closed (sadly, DH can't really trust any of his managers, and I keep his store safe and the extra income is great), too bad it is severely cutting into my DIS time. So...hopefully I can yap with you all in a few hours!!!
Hi Dizzy. The extra income is great, but it kind of sucks that he can't trust his managers. Sounds like it's time to get new managers if he can't even trust them to close up.
i just wanted to drop by and say Hi to all the hyena's i am hoping that after this week i can jump back on here and chat for more than 10 seconds..

it is pretty early here and i am so exhausted i just can't sleep. maybe i will go try some warm cocoa.
Hi Spongie! Glad to see you! I'm having problems with sleeping, so my doctor gave me a Sleep Hygiene plan. Part of that is waking up at the same time each day - even weekends. So here I am at 6am on Sunday morning! DH & DD headed for the race track, DS is still sleeping and I'm watching news, drinking coffee, DISing and doing laundry! As soon as it gets light outside I'm going to go clean out the rest of the trailer from DH's elk hunting trip. He's been cleaning a little bit out each day, but I think it's time for a woman's touch! If it's not raining too much later DS & I will head up to the track to watch DD race. Her & DH go up early so they can walk the track, learn the lines, etc... But she doesn't start practice until noon. They let the little kids race in the morning, but they wait until noon to start the big bikes. There is a church & some homes nearby and they try to be a good neighbor and not disturb them at the crack of dawn!
