Hmmm...guess we could just throw a Christmas tree on the luggage rack on top. Put in sleeping bags and drive for 2 weeks!:lmao:

I'm leaning towards Jackson Hole because it sounds like the most fun. But I'm also leaning towards Seattle because it's so close and no long drive.

You almost described national Lampoons vacation!!:lmao:

Ummmmmm ALL of them!!:woohoo:
One time my sister and I (young single girls at the time, no obligations but no real money, either) had a week's vacation and couldn't decide where to go. So we did all of them! We went to Ocean Shores one day; we drove to Portland and spent the night (did the Saturday market and other fun stuff there); drove up Snoqualmie Pass and hiked around one day; and took a boat up to Victoria and spent the night.

What fun it was to head in the four directions and do a little of everything! :thumbsup2

I just imagine the Iditarod Sled Dog ride in the rain wouldn't be quite the same as in Jackson Hole!:rotfl2: Although I do think it would be fun to take the Duck Tour.
That is fun! Could be chilly around then, though.

I've been contemplating doing something fun over Christmas break. My family refuses to go anywhere other than home for Christmas Eve & Christmas. But they will let us leave the day after. DH doesn't want to fly. So here is what I have narrowed it down to:

Jackson Hole, WY - we own a hotel there (free lodging). Could go snow shoeing, skiing, snowmobiling or ride to Yellowstone in a snowcoach, sleigh rides, dog sled rides to hot springs pool.....13 hour drive. But my boss said we could stop and stay a night or two at his McMansion in Sun Valley (9 hour drive). We've never been there. Weather could be a problem driving, but we don't lose any money if we cancel.

Reno, NV - stepdad is there. Lots of fun things to do. I love shopping at the JC Penney outlet store. 13 hour drive, but can stop halfway & stay at our hotel in Klamath Falls for free. Weather can be a problem. But lots of good food, Circus Circus & Boomtown for the kids.

Victoria, BC - Can stay at our hotel in Port Angeles for free and take the ferry across. Haven't been there since I was a teen. Kinda iffy on this one. Don't know if there would be much "fun" stuff for the kids.

Seattle - 2.5 hour drive. Lots of fun stuff to do. Did I mention short drive! Could stay at nice hotel with fun pool! Might even be able to meet up with Alex!

Kahneetah - Warm Springs, OR indian reservation. Giant outdoor hot springs mineral pool. Haven't been there since I was a kid.

So Hyena's cast your vote! Where should I convince my family to go??

I think Jackson Hole sounds cool!

Alison- Seattle sounds cool too and you'll get to meet with Alex & Staley! :thumbsup2

So, any of you have any great financial advice out there (besides I should spring for the ladies only trip???) I am happy the house is sold, but now I am stressing about what to do with the cash???

Stick it in a CD for 6 months... my parents did that, and it earned them like $4000.:thumbsup2

Do you guys all have pass ports? If not, i would pretty much rule out Canada. Gotta say I vote for Seattle...:rolleyes1 my birthday is the 29th, we could get together and maybe I would actually be able to do something on my b-day for once!!

the duck tour is SUPER FUN~!! We took the kids, and it was such a blast!

We love Jackson Hole...what hotel do you own there, we will have to stay there our next trip...normally we stay at the cabins or tent cabins(back when I was a kid) and last time I was there I don't remember where I stayed but it was within walking/stumbling distance from the Million Dollar CowboyBar!

Hi Christina!!!

Glad to hear you are doing fine with the jet lag thing. Tonight it might catch up to ya!

How about finding some flip flops. I know some people would die if they wore them, but at least your toes are free. I know in DTD, there is a Kiosk that sells them, and you can add different things on them. I know this cuz DD had to get them last year. They are at the end towards the DLH. I'm trying to think who else might have them? Maybe the World of Disney will have something.

Anyways, how was your flight here and all? And did you get your book and intertainment rate figured out for Hojos?
Actually it was my ugg flip flops that gave me the blister, it's on the bottom of my toe but fortunately it didn't bother me today. The flight was good, long but we sat in premium seating which is better than coach but not first class (middle class :lmao: ) so we got to play games, watch movies or tv and they had a million movies to choose from. And then once we got to LAX we were extremely delayed it sucked noodles. And the customs ppl are rude as always but other than the 3 hour delay at LAX the flight was fine.
Oh, and we had our book sent to the hotel, and the hotel peeps didnt' even ask to see our card, but indeed our book made it. So everything worked out.
CHRISTINA!! I PM'd you and wasn't sure if you would get it or not. I was wondering if you wanted to meet up with me and maybe Bernice this weekend. Will you still be here?
Pixter, I am so sorry, both times I was online I logged off and thought oh crap I forgot to pm pixter back. I will still be in Anaheim this weekend but I'm skipping the parks because I want to avoid the crazy crowds. This friday I'm going to be with my dad and step mom and they haven't seen me for months and I don't think it will be easy to ditch them to play with my hyenas so I don't know. But I have your number and if I get a chance to escape on either Friday or maybe sunday I'll give you call if that works for you.
Now that Christina is at DL, does this mean she will have to photoshop all the hyenas into a group photo?

But of course. I made a plan with shawna...now if she went through with her half and if I remember to go through with my half we'll both be in the same picture together. Tomorrow I'm going to hunt for albort and give him a tip. I tipped a dude today, 25 cents. I didn't like him, buy I didn't want the change. He was all no sense of humour man. That's my nickname for him. Anyways, I'm going to find albort, buy whatever he's selling (even a balloon if I have to) and not tell him it's me, then I'm going to tip him and run away doing an evil laugh.

Oh one more thing, I rode tower of terror today and almost peed my pants it so bloody awesome. I sat next to these little kids who were like 9 and 7 1/2 (guessing) years old because they were pros. They rode the ride over and over, and they made me feel less scared and the ride so fun. Anyways bye guys!

What's up BB Mommy?

Sorry to hear about your blister. That sucks :( You should try Crocs. They won't hurt your feet. :)

That would be cool if we could hang out. I believe Bernice is gonna be at DL on Sunday too. I'm going to try to make it down there. I really want to see the Xmas stuff. :santa: and eat my beloved dole whip float :rolleyes1

TOT is Lynn's favorite ride! My two sisters love that ride too but I'm

when it comes to that ride.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Good plan for finding Albort! :rotfl2: If all else fails, just yell: "HEY VANESSA!!!" at the top of your lungs! ;)

Dont worry guys... My 5yo LOVES that ride, but I am a big ole chicken to. :sad2: Hi Christina!!! Are you having the best time ever? :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
