By the way, what the heck is with the huge crowd on Friday night (Oct. 12)??? We re-entered the park in the evening and it took us forever to walk up Main St. and through Adventureland to Critter Country! All the lines for the rides were the longest I've ever seen, so we just kept passing them and moving on to something else; I think we finally did wait in line for Buzz or Pirates, then called it a night. :(

DH heard a CM say the crowd was as heavy as what they see at Christmas!

i have no idea... but it is definatly not as busy as Christmas... I went in the park with a friend on THursday and it was quite busy...

Probably something new so people wanted to check it out...

Now you know why I had to laugh when Lynn asked me if I put lights on the trees in my yard at Christmas! Yeah right, anyone have a crane?:lmao: The inflatable Shrek is about 8 feet tall. I thought I did a rather good job, considering that I'm not very artsy, craftsy!:thumbsup2
Nicely done!

But it looks oddly sunny in the photo...???

Hey Alex, welcome back!

It was uber busy today at DL too, we hit up rides first thing in the morning with 5- 15 minute waits. By 11 we noticed they were using the extra ropes for Pirates. By noon they were using the interior que for Star Tours, 30 minute wait... Got in line for buzz (15 minutes), got out and the line was 30 minutes:scared: Had lunch and went back to rides, good thing we had a fast pass for Space (posted 30 minutes, CM walked up the line and waved/signed back to CMs below.. it was actually 50 minutes) ... lines backing up everywhere.

We called it a day after that, leaving around 2:30.

I did notice lots of groups doing Mouse Adventure, that was fun to see. Hawaiian shirts, Tshirts with their own slogans, a large group of guys with fairy wings on their backs

Read on LP that Northern California schools are on fall break, and wasn't it UEA weekend??? I know it's usually around the same time as MN's (this coming Thursday and Friday).
Disney expected crowds, park was open 8 to midnight today- very unusual for a Sunday on what is suppose to be off season.

is there an off season any more??? :confused3

Thursday was nothing in comparison to Friday, trust me! You know how it's hard to move around in the crowd right after a parade or the fireworks? It was like that, only everywhere, and all night! It was insane, and we couldn't wait to get out of there! :scared1:

Weren't you guys sunny today? We had a beautiful sunny weekend here. But it's supposed to start raining tomorrow and keep raining for at least 7 days straight! So I figured I'd better get the Halloween decorations up this weekend or I would be out in the rain next weekend.

So is it me or is the DIS slow again. It's not 9:30 yet, what's the deal?

Is anyone still here or has the DIS malfunctioned and vaporized everyone into another dimension!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

what is everyone up too? sorry i have not been on here but i have been finishing up our last minute errands and laundry( packing for a family of 7 for 10 days :headache: :headache: :headache: STRESSFULknowing that you are packing for disneyland    PRICELESS[/COLOR]

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhh

well, posting tonight is a tedious unpleasant exercise. 9:30 slow down came early tonight??

soooooooooooooooooooo my MIL wants to come for Thanksgiving or Christmas, but she can only stay over the holiday weekend... grrr.

I begged her to come for a week, November 16- Nov 23rd.. found flight prices for $213. CHEAP!!

No can do.
She used her vacation time to look for a job-- which netted her nothing. And she's scared of giving her employer an excuse to fire her if she takes days off without pay. ( I think the company is on the verge of closing, fire for petty things before lay off begins.)

She can come after work (and travel to Minneapolis to catch plane) on Wednesday Nov 21st, back home on that Sunday.. which makes air fare around $400+ (which means only 3 full days with her)

Her other option is December 21st (evening ) thru 25th. (3 days)
OR December 28th (evening) thru Jan 1st. (3 days)
Talking about $350- $400

Can you see my problem here? Is it worth spending $350- $400 for her to visit for only 3 freakin days???

I can only hope the company goes belly up and then she will have tons of free time on unemployment :rolleyes1 It's something she would like to have happen anyway.

Hi Spongemommie. The DIS has been really slow posting for about the past 30 minutes. I think we lost everyone!! I'm glad my kids are getting older and I don't have to pack for everyone. It's so much easier to throw everyone a suitcase the night before and say "PACK"!:thumbsup2

During the slow down I managed to check 4 different sources for air fare. Productive multitasking on the DIS :thumbsup2

And now it seems up to speed again.

jealous..............
how nice would that be...

Hey Spongie.. My hubby noticed someone wearing Sponge Bob crocs today at DL.. I immediately thought of you :goodvibes

They had Sponge Bob faces on the toes-- very vibrant yellow.

Let's see, $133 per day, $5.55 per hour, $0.09 per minute or $0.001 per second. Yeah, I'd say it's worth it.:thumbsup2
