Ventricle? Ventricular? You nut...
Thank goodness for a sense of humor, right? It can get you through anything. Hang in there girl, he'll be home soon.
I popped on just to say a quick hello, then realized there were like 5 pages since last night!
Bummer about Shawna's DH's job. But you know what? People who are very good at what they do are always in demand. He definitely should look elsewhere, find an employer that appreciates the work he produces, not the hours he puts in. DH is in the same boat, can do the work of 3 people, puts in extra hours as necessary, but not if it isn't. He finally works for a company that recognizes and values what he brings to the table, and they are doing everything they can to make his current job/pay so good he won't even think of going elsewhere.
He worked with a guy who regularly works 80+ hours a week, but is very laid back, goofs around at work, comes in on the weekend with his kids, and maybe gets work done that a normal person would do in 40 hours. But he prides himself on working 80+ hours a week, and bosses who value that sort of behavior (rather than looking at the work he accomplishes) will keep him and promote him. Dumb, dumb, dumb!
