How do you pull up the design to print onto transfer paper? Remember............I'm not very computer savvy!
I saw a thread there a few weeks ago that gave detailed instructions and information, but I can't find it now. Here's what I remember (and I do hope I'm remembering accurately!):
Transfer Paper: There are two kinds, white and black.
White transfer paper works best on white or other very light colored shirts (pale blue, etc.) Any white part in the design you choose will come out
clear on the shirt, so be careful in what combination you choose. Black transfer paper should be used for any other colored shirt. White parts of the design will come out white on the shirt regardless of the color. For some reason, designs using black paper seem to come out better, and 'stick' better to the shirt through washings. I think, though, that the black paper needs to be trimmed because the design will print with a white border, so make sure you pick a design that won't have really complicated cutting around the border.
You can buy transfer paper at craft stores and office supply stores, and also online (probably for a bit less.) There were a couple brands that were well-regarded (HP was one), and one that was not (Wilton).

T-Shirts: Again, you can buy in local stores or online. I remember reading previously that the designer had had great results with 100% cotton, 50/50 blends as well as other types of t-shirts, so no worries there. It is recommended that you wash the shirt before transferring the design on, and do not use fabric softener in the wash or Bounce-type sheets in the dryer.

ETA: GEESH! I never answered your original question, did I?
So to store a design to your PC, right click on the design, and choose to Save As. It will pop up a window, the filename will already be filled in (though you can change it to something more meaningful to you if you wish.) Take note also of the default folder this file will be stored in; you can change this also to another location if you wish. My default folder was one I use for photos, which was fine for this purpose.
So to open it to print, go to the folder where the design was stored, and double-click on the filename for the design. It should open the design and then you can right-click to print it.
What I have yet to figure out (but DH can probably tell me) is how to size the picture for different sized shirts. For instance, I'll want the design for DS3 to fit his tiny shirt, but don't want a tiny design on my shirt. You may need to play around with the printing (on regular paper) at first to get the desired size. My first guess is that this will open in the software I use for photos, and I'll be able to use the software features to resize to smaller/larger %. Does that make sense?
