That sucks. I used to work in retail and I hated the customers more than my coworkers and I hated my coworkers pretty bad. It was all catty women who fought over sales. We were on straight commision pay, it was fierce I hated it and it felt wonderful to quit. How are your art classes going?

I'm planning to quit my art class. I did not have a good time this week and not so much the previous time either. I signed up for it to help relieve stress but it causes even more stress. I started with charcoals but she said I was too detailed and needed to lear how to just relax and let go. So she switched me to pastels (chalk). It was okay but this week the instructor wasn't there. It was a different lady. She had me wait around almost 15 minutes because she kept talking non-stop to some parent about random things. Then she told me I was supposed to be there earlier and I said: "No, I signed up for 5:30." I needed help and she ignored me twice. :headache:

I called my instructor last week but got a machine. I left a message for her to call me but she hasn't yet. I just feel that for $81 a month it doesn't seem worth it.

holy crap 81 bucks? My dad is an artist and got me into acrylic painting to relieve stress. I just paint in my free time, maybe you should do that. I got an easle and a package of paints and nice paintbrushes for my birthday and then I would spend hours painting completely lost in my painting world. I paint like crap, I did not inherit my dad's talent but it's so fun I don't even care.

Yeah I would say that's a stressful situation lol. Do you do anything to relieve your stress after work? They say you need a third place other than work and home to help rid your stress.

Nope, but I should find something. My co-worker suggested pottery class at the community college. She said she takes that every weekend to relieve stress. I have to look around for other classes. I think it would be MUCH cheaper at the community college.

You should also try yoga. It's a great way to stay in shape and it's so relaxing. Try the hatha yoga though, it's the slow one where you relax, the other ones go too fast and it's just a hard workout.

Yeah I would guess the community college would be much cheaper too, and the instructors would probably be better teachers.

I've never done Yoga. Not sure where to take that in my area but I can look. My older sis has been stressed out too. She took up boogie boarding and she even took a juggling class. :) I teased her about the juggling class and sang circus music to her. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: That's pretty cool though. What a strange thing to think about learning. You could probably take yoga at your nearest gym. And go with your older sister, it's fun yogaing with other people. Especially if hear someone in the room fart you can laugh with someone. One time I took my sister to yoga with me and we heard someone fart and we couldn't stop laughing, our instructor laughed and said "I hear laughter back there, that's good!" which made us laugh harder because she didn't understand why were laughing in the first place.

Did you and your DH get the new flat?

yeah we did. It's kinda strange the whole thing, we're moving on Tuesday and we both haven't really thought about it. We haven't planned our move, we haven't even started packing. I think we are both so ready to be settled that neither of us cares anymore. So I guess we'll be packing Monday night. The new flat is small but it's all really nice appliances. The houses here are so strange. Like little things in Canada that came with apartments they don't have here, but things they have here we didnt have in Canada. Like at home all apartments have dishwashers, here none of them do except the really expensive ones. But at home they had community washer and dryers but here they have a washer/dryer machine in each flat. Also here they have a heated towel rack in the bathroom so when you get out of the shower or bath your towel is nice and hot. It's so strange. But I'll be missing my dishwasher.

A heated towel rack? I've never heard of those. It sounds like something you would see in those Sky Mall catalogs they have on planes. ;) That's cool that you are moving though. Hopefully this place will be better and you won't have giant bugs! :faint:

It's on the top floor so I'm being very positive and thinking we won't see any more bugs. There are way too many in this place, we still kill at least one spider a day. It's gotten worse since it's getting colder, they're all trying to get in. And I think because the buildings are so old here and made of granite, there are alot of cracks and holes for the spiders to crawl into and they lead into the house I think. It's disgusting and I can't wait to be rid of them.
Yeah I hadn't heard of the towel rack things until we got here, but dh claimed he knew of them for years  But they're really nice and I bet will be awesome in winter. Oh and ALL the flats have fireplaces. Even if they don't work or are fake they ALL have one. The tiniest places will have a fireplace, or the ugliest run down biggest piece of crap will have a fireplace. It's so odd, because it's not like they use the fireplace as heat. They look nice though.

I should post more pictures for you guys. I haven't posted pics in a long time, I'm on my laptop right now though so next time I'm on my picture computer I'll post pics of Aberdeen and then take some of my new place to show you guys.

Actually I think the next place we're going to move is to California. There are alot of job opportunites for dh there. But I don't know what I would do, maybe I'll be an actor, that's what everyone does in California right?

lol, I would get eaten alive! I think it would be fun. Why do people want to be famous though? I don't get it. I saw a show on tv and a lady was interviewing these actors in Bollywood and she asked them would you rather be a good actor or famous and they all said famous! Like what the heck? I don't see how having people lie about you and spy through your windows as being desirable.

I think it's because most people are materialistic and they want the bling and the fancy house and nice car. :confused3
