How bad is it to pick up someone at LAX? Is it going to be a giant headache?? At least my MIL and BIL don't come in until 11 pm (Thursday Nov 8th) --- traffic should be lighter .. right??!!

My bf knows I have a lot of stress to deal with at work. I don't bring it home with me though, I just try to forget about it after I leave work. He does come home and give me hugs and we cuddle up in front of the TV and watch the shows we missed during the day.

Good morning Hyenas!


Hubby snagged an early dialysis run, so we will have the whole afternoon and evening together-- woohoooooo! what to do what to do??? hmmmmmmmmm.....
I wish they weren't blocked out on Saturdays, I haven't watched fireworks or Fantasmic for months now and for once it would work with our schedule... but $40 blockout---- yikes!

Yuck!!! Fire is one thing that we do have to worry about here - there was a massive fire that burned a ton a few years back. We are completely surrounded by pine trees so it is quite a threat. When we drove back home Thursday night we freaked out pretty bad - the air was very smoky - very thick by where we lived. We were freaking out as we approached the house. Then we saw this bright ominous orange glow - DH and I freaked out - then we realized the neighbors put up a ton of orange halloween decorations

Not funny - we were so freaked out!!! As soon as you turn the corner the first thing you see is the neighbors house, and we are right behind. The smoke was so thick though all we could see was the orange glow (a combination of prescribed burns and wood burning stoves I beleive caused the smoke in the first place)

I know - I still laugh about it now - but that heart sinking feeling was unspeakable - I cannot even imagine how all those people in CA feel right now.

So... who wants to know the effect of to much caffeine on me? I didnt sleep at all last night. Literally. Not a freakin wink. I was up watching movies til Alex got up this morning. I watched Valmont- kinda cool.. a little kinky, The Libertine... Holy COW!!! Not at all what I was expecting... VERY dark, and very sexual. Then I thought that I would try to watch something stupid... So I watched Drop dead gorgeous... Still... no sleep. DH was going to a friends house after work, and I thought about calling him around 5 to let him know I couldnt sleep... But I so wanted him to hang out with his friends, he never gets to. So when he finally got home around noon he was royally pissed at me for not having him come home. But I turned on playhouse disney for the kids, and napped a bit while the baby sat on me!

The kid is deffinately about to have a big growth spurt... She ate a banana, a huge bowl a cereal, about half a box of chocolate donets, and chips... Not healthy, Iknow... But I was way to tired by then to care. At least they ate, right? Now, of course, everyone is sleeping but me! I figured to just keep up with the cafiene, seems to be working wel so far!

Meanwhile, I watched sense and sensibility.. Now I am watching Shakespeare in love. I am having a period flick thing today... Must be because of lack of sleep. I ordered pizza, dh told me he didnt want me blundering around the kitchen today... I think he fears me burning the place down! Okay... I think I am going to park my butt on the couch, I feel like crap!!!

And you never answered my question about the Halloween/ Christmas decorations in regards to Veteran's weekend.

I like going into the emporium and the showcase right across the way...and thurday night when I went in showcase it had all halloween stuff and friday when I went in there it had all changed to christmas sheesh couldnt even wait till wed.?

Damn!!! I was going to send you mine, but it expires on the 1st of November! I bet if you e-mail her, she will help you out... Or call her during work hours. Bernice has had some luck dealing with the manager... They are usually really nice, adn to be perfectly honest, they have never even asked for my card. Oy... It will work out, i promise!

My favorite one is Vanilla Bean Noel (seasonal) and I also like their Country Apple and Mango Mandarin. I saw they had a Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin one but haven't smelled it.

hey all Im back home...got in about 4am today...drove all night gah!!!...couple things I want to point out...firstly, and to which I said I didnt know why albort was going on about the fire stuff...I got there around 11am on wed...and there was no discoloration in the sky...no bad winds...no smoke..nothin...clear blue sky and hot as hades...the only reminder that I had of the issue was when I would go out first time of the day I could faintly smell smoke but within a few minutes it was gone....and secondly this is mainly out to those who travel the 5S to get to DL...I have been wanting to try a different route to avoid the 5 altogether because as we all know its HORRID!!! so this time I decided to go ahead (with the persistance of Andrea who had been there an hour before I got there)...right as soon as you hit LA county...there is a fwy turnoff to Pasadena 210E and if you take that fwy and then the 57S...you totally bypass all that traffic...it actually shaved a bit of time but also shaved off a whole half tank of gas needed to get there so im not doing the 5 in LA to anaheim EVER AGAIN..... I will definitely talk more about the trip later but Im wiped...I passed out as soon as I got home and was awake at 10:30 dang it...and have been up all day so Im tired and want to just chill...so talk to you guys later...
