oh yeah, i saw HSM2 School Out at DCA yesterday... to be honest, i reeked compared to the old one... :\ Though a lot more interaction but the dancer dont dance at much...

HSM pep rally btw...

Hey guys...look what I made for my Cruise that's coming up in Dec.

cruise.jpg

I am going to make it into a door magnet.

Okay... here is me being REALLY pissed off. We have new neighbors that moved in yesterday... I have found 4 cigarette butts, and a beer bottle in the stairway since they moved in!!! Yes, they moved in YESTERDAY!!!! I am so pissed!!!!!!!! As soon as the office opens tomorrow, I am going down there to complain. RIDICULES!!! When we came home from going out to lunch yesterday, there was a really strong smell of something burning, not cig. smoke, but like wood smoke. The new guy was walking up the stairs when dh went to investigate, and make sure nothing was on fire, and dh asked him if he was burning something. He said it was sage.. as he is Native American and was blessing the apartment. Ok... no big deal, but be careful, because the building is wired to a smoke alarm system, and if goes off, we have to wait til the fire department comes to turn it off. AND they were moving stuff in til after midnight!!!

Wow. Maybe all that was from some yahoos helping him/them move in? Hopefully it's not that your neighbor is that much of an inconsiderate slob. :confused3

I haven't been to a home blessing before, or done a home blessing, but my sister used to keep sage and burn it occasionally. You may be getting used to that smell if he is more traditional.

I dont think so... The beer bottle was found about 45 minutes ago, and as far as i know, they are the only ones there. What was most unreal to me... THERE WAS STILL BEER IN IT!!!! It was about .25 still full! I dont mind if they burn it, as long as they dont do it out in the hall.. which was obvious by how strong the smell was. They can burn whatever... as well as make as big a mess as they want, as long as they keep it in their APARTMENT!!! I dont leave crappy diapers in the hallway!!!

Anyways... how are you today?

I'm kinda glad that we don't have interior hallways here, no weird smells, very little noise. It's almost like being in our own house (with really close by neighbors).
Hey Stley, if it keeps up then by all means deliver a "present" to their doorstep. PEWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeee

We're good. DS7 is happy as a clam, having finished off his week of birthday celebrations. He loooooooves being 7! :rotfl:

DS3 is less enthused. Daddy is really not into the potty-training thing. I mean, he's all gung-ho that it happen, he just wants no part of it himself.

So diapers were used whenever Mama wasn't handling that, and now it's back to training pants and plastic pants and some setback. (sigh)

Now that the birthday thing is outta the way, I've GOT to make my PSes! And buy our APs! I talked to DH about the boys' tickets, and he agreed that for only $100, we should just go with the APs. Wheeeeeeee!!! :yay:

Yeah for celebrations!
Boohoo about potty training. Don't be sad, it will come. He won't be wearing diapers on his wedding day, right??

BOOGIDY BOO!

eeek, now I'm scared!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You're so funny pix! I told dh about your dell suggestions, and he said that was cool, so we went online and "built"Him a computer... It was $1500!!!!:faint: We might have to tone down his wants a bit!:lmao: :lmao:

I'm eating my dinner: garlic bread and pasta. I used a three cheese cause with chopped sweet onions, chopped garlic, season-all, pepper, and fetuccini noodles.

Hoooooeeeeee, I bet you stink good tonight! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Actually it doesn't smell at all! :confused3 I chopped the garlic into very small pieces and the onions don't have a strong smell either (that's what I like about the sweet onions). :confused3 It tastes really good though. :thumbsup2

Pixie you must write me up a meal plan/menu, you always tells us these great things you make. Though I did magange to pull off a decent dinner last night.. Migas (tortilla strips cooked with eggs) with turkey chunks and bacon bits (creatively using leftovers from a salad mix). And a package of hash browns zipped up with garlic and other spices... it was good. Now what to do for today?? Running out of groceries.. eek!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: mmmm... Garlic and onion breath!!! That is a killer combo I DONT let dh eat! He could actually kill a whole room of flowers with his gas!:lmao: Oh geez Dont get me started on swordfish!:scared: :lmao:

My breath doesn't smell bad and the pasta sauce isn't strong either. I guess that's a good thing but for some reason my sauces never have that problem. :confused3 My bf thinks it's weird but cool. :confused3

My dh likes to eat garlic RAW! :sad2:
Scaring off vampires?

Boooo.... I slept really late, I havent been sleeping at night, so dh let me sleep in today. Then i talked to my mom, for a long time... About my dad, and my feelings and all that icky stuff. She told me I should either go to church or start counseling. The dh got up, I put the youngens to bed, and dh decided to stay home from work.. That was my day in a nut shell.. Oh, and i ordered pizza!
It takes awhile to "process" feelings after a loss, talking it out is very therapeutic. I know for me, sharing my thoughts with my online friends makes a big difference.. considering right now I really don't have anyone to talk to here. I think it would be safe to say that we are all good listeners .. errr. readers?? here if you need to de-stress.

:lmao: He wants a gaming computer.. A laptop, something that has a dual processor, and a really good video card, and a high res. screen, and microsoft works, and other stuff that I dont understand because I am 100% computer illiterate!:lmao:
If he wants a serious gaming laptop, go to alienware.com, but these are high-end gaming machines. They are NOT CHEAP.

ETA: DH says if you're serious about gaming, there are no better machines. However, you can just look at the site for an idea of the kind of specs for a gaming machine.

He wants to know what kind of games he'll play; that can determine how much power and extras he will want.

My bf said he does not recommend Alienware. He said their laptops suck for gaming (he bought one a few months ago and had nothing but problems).

Yeah, we have looked, and they are just a TAD out of our budget for what he REALLY wants..(about $9000.) So we are doing a dell most likely... I think... I just want him to have something so he can play his games, and do his business and not bother me while i dis!:lmao: I figure if he really wants to play games, he has his 360, most of his games are War games... and simulators.. i dont know!!:lmao: I am really bad at this,a nd I am thinking that while it is a really good idea to GET him a computer.. maybe i should just give him the money to do it!:lmao: :lmao: I sooo had my heart set on seeing the look on his face when he opened though! :cloud9:  :flower3: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: But I have a feeling it might be more like this...  :confused3 :sad2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Dh has now told me to build him one with the same specs as the lap top.. to see how much that is! DOESNT HE KNOW WHO HES TALKING TOO!!!!! :headache: I dont ask him to go grocery shopping for all of our food, DO I????

okay... i give. Dh is getting a wallet for Christmas!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:thumbsup2 He wants the best battery we can get for it. Back in the stoneages.. when we fist met, we had a laptop.. it couldnt even play a movie all the way through!

Dh says if you get the wallet instead, you would even have something to put in it! :lmao:

Heeeyyyyy... Pixster justs reminded me that Dh hasn't bought ME a laptop battery yet!

Okay, all this PC talk is making me geeky!! J/k!! j/k!! I wish I knew as much as my bf did....at least I have never been guilty of mistaking a CD-ROM as a cup holder! :rotfl:

He hasn't bought you a battery yet?? I thought he bought one months ago?? :confused3 Tell him that you're adding interest rates! :rotfl2:

I know, I made the mistake of saying there was no rush, since I can use it (like now) plugged into the wall. But the cord runs across the floor, and the kids trip over it sometimes.

Plus, he wanted to use it the other day away from the outlet, and it died after like 15 minutes! So we definitely need one. I'd love to be able to take it in the backyard while the boys play.

Time to go shopping for a battery!! (and he better add some flowers, ice cream, new outfit... you know.. to cover the "interest")

I used to paly Quake 2 and Diablo II online. That was awesome until Blizzard deleted my character!! I forgot that they delete it after a certain # of days if you don't play it often. Whoops! :sad2: I haven't played the games where you have to pay for the service each month. World of Warcraft and LOTR looks fun.

My brother spent soooooo many hours playing Final Fantasy 1-2 years ago. My dad was pissed when he saw the bill and made my brother pay up. Then my brother sold his characters on ebay and actually made a lot of money.

He tried to sell more characters recently but ebay prohibits it now (due to scam incidents where people would sell their characters and then once they got the money they would change the password or delete the character)

Hmm....I could use some ice cream!

Oh...I need your opinions on something...

What? I like Fudge Ripple..:lmao:

Hmm...I'll PM it to you guys

Raspberry Sherbet, and Banana Split. Walmart sells their brand for $2.50 for a container... :thumbsup2 Very cheap, and DELISH!!!

Quick! Ship it here! UPS RED!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

okay... Ill be waiting!:thumbsup2

Its on its way!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Alex... are you out looking for Ice cream?:lmao:

Rocky Road is not my favorite, but it's what we got. MmmmmmmMM!

I like rocky road but I spit out the nuts! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: The funny thing is that one time I tried chocolate ice cream with marshmallows and it didn't taste the same. :confused3

I know, I'm not a big fan of walnuts, and that's what's usually in Rocky Road. This one has almonds, which I do like, so I'm getting all the calories, baby! :rotfl:

hmmm, plain vanilla and lots of choices for toppings!

I can't believe only 2 more weeks of summer vacation. :(

And the weather is absolute crap here, so I'm soooo bummed. We really did very little this summer, and I feel bad for Ds7.

I know!!! after all our talk of having great fun together, we did one thing!:lmao: The weather has really sucked all summer... first the extreme heat, and then the cold, rainy weather! i dont get it!:confused3

At least you still have summer vacation! Second week of school here.

lol, i been found on the parade route today :)

Keisi mom or something... eek... 11 months only found 4 times :)

I don't think I could find you myself! lol!! I need the powers of Lynn!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

No doubt, I walked right past when we had the hyena meet.. until Andrea pointed you out.

Oh, have to tell you guys: You know htat DS7's party was a pool party? Well, the facility rules stated that unless the child could pass a deep water swim test, they'd need a parent/adult in the water with them.

So one of my girlfriends said that she'd be getting in the water with her child, and DH joked, "Then you'll be the only mom in the pool!" My other girlfriends had said, "I'm not getting' in the pool, are YOU getting in the pool?" "Nope, not me, DH is." :rotfl:

So my friend M called me the morning of the party to ask a question, and we got to talking. She tells me her DH wasn't feeling well, was coming down with a headcold, she thought. He complained a bit about not feeling well, and she said, "But... you're still getting in the pool, right?" He started to say, "Weeeelllll,..." And she stopped him: "No, listen to me. You ARE still planning to get into the pool, AREN'T YOU." Not a question really... :lmao:

Too funny!

OOowweee There is a bi ole argument about Earned income credit going on!

Time for me to go! Night guys!
I know, I looed at that a few days ago.. and then chastised myself for even opening that thread.. I got mad.

good night, staley! :cloud9:

I should get going, too. I keep yawning, and when i don't pay attention to that I end up falling asleep at the keyboard. Of course, then it does give you guys fodder for harrassing me the next day... Yeah, I'm definitely going to bed now! :lmao:

Ladies! Dh is out of town for the week :sad1: so I'm all by myself in Scotland and guess what it's cloudy and cold AGAIN! But dh msn'd me and told me Norway is sunny and beautiful and he's so happy. What a jerk. I wish I was in the sun. I don't know if I can handle this all winter long  I'll be crying and begging for my disney trip in November and with my luck it will be raining then when we get there and sunny in Scotland. Curse my bad luck!

ahhhhh, that sucks.

Morning All!

oh yeah, i saw HSM2 School Out at DCA yesterday... to be honest, it reeked compared to the old one... :\ Though a lot more interaction but the dancer dont dance at much...

HSM pep rally btw...

Thanks for the report, I liked the old one too.

Hi ya all!!!!!!!!
Hey Bernice, I see your green light.
How is DH???????????????????????:confused3
How are you??????????????
Did you sleep last night????????

Megan, Alex and Pixster,
I got lost with all of your computer nerd stuff. Sorry, but I kind of breezed through that stuff. :rolleyes1

Moto, I love your Christmas cruise picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You come up with some pretty nice stuff!!!

Albort, Are they using the same kids from the last HSM show???? :confused3

Christina,
I'm sorry you are so cold! It must be different than Canada???? Hey there is a poster from Belfast, Scotland, who was asking questions the other day. You should PM her, and get to know her. Her DIS name is Belfastgal. Is Belfast close to you???????

It's a new day in California.. has the weather changed? Nope, still SUNNY and warm!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Spent the evening being hubby's TA (he of course made a lewd comment not associated with teaching or being an assistant :sad2:

Have some typing to do for him today, dishes to toss in the dishwasher, and finish up signing up his benefits.
I'm clueless when it comes to deciding how much life insurance we should buy. I know it has to be under a certain amount or we will need to answer the health questions (resulting in NOT getting the life insurance).
Sadly I need to really consider what I will need after he is gone :sad1: the truth is I will outlive him. Not might.. WILL.

I try not to dwell on his condition.. but this whole seizure thing really freaked me out. Bringing all the fears to the surface.

BTW he's doing just fine again. He kinda crashed as soon as he got home last night, fell asleep on the couch while watching the news.

Later he told me, he is amazed that he needs to work each day  Even during student teaching he didn't have it every day, or only a part day.
It's been a very LONG time since he worked a full work week.

I remember the first days working at Head Start and being totally exhuasted by the end of the day. That first year I caught every cold and cough that the little germ factories could toss my way.

Weekends are our de-stressing time. Plan on hitting the beach again on Saturday!

He's fine.
I'm fine.
I slept more last night than the night before.

Good Afternoon Hyenas!!! Anyone here - granted I am bummed and depressed as all heck, and probably not too fun to talk to - but I will try not to cry on your keyboard!!!

Awwww! Bernice! Thank goodness for weekends! You are lucky you live so close to the beach. It is truly good medicine.
Do you ever think of getting your driver's license?? Californians truly do love to drive, and we rely on it so much. I think our mind set is different. What do you think???

Hey what's up??? Are you still upset about not selling your house???? :confused3

ohhhhh what's worng????

I am sure nothing too bad I am just not dealing well with anything today. It didn't help that DH had to work all day Sunday (open to close), and DD has strep. So I was cooped up in 400 sq. ft. of living space with one sick kid and a really bad kid for two days. We paid the last month on the rental (we are guessing the last month his work will pay for it), yet still no bites on the house. If it doesn't sell we cannot afford to pay for this place too - so at that point if his work tells him no, I guess we will just move back - put the kids in the old school and then they are super behind - and Alec - again will start a month late. I got yelled at by a library lady today - some idiot woman took all the washers, and then my clothes got thrown out and up way high (because of the idiot woman) and besides rambling a whole lot I am still crying. Can't talk to DH because then he freaks - so I am all alone with a really crappy internet connection that probably won't even let me post this (which who knows, may be for the best anyways :rolleyes1 )

ahhh Dizzy.. I totally understand.
Moving sucks and adjusting to less than optimal living space doesn't help.

Don't feel bad about sharing this with us, like I posted earlier.. all of you are my real friends since I know no one here in CA. Calling my sis is an option, but she doens't always "get it" when I have problems.

So sorry Bernice - I know I hate thinking about all of those things. That is one of the reasons I was so excited to move. DH's old job was super stressful (let me emphasize super one more time), and I feared every night for his health. His stress also led him to some unhealthy beverage choices (on a more then recommended pace), which coupled with the stress just really scared the heck out of me. Once I get in a mind set like that it is hard for me to get out of - so don't dwell on it and just be happy and enjoy yourselves - especially the weekends off that you get to go to the beach you lucky duck!!! :thumbsup2

yeah, but the wetness will scare her away and she won't step across anymore.. see it's all for the greater good :thumbsup2

Good to hear - I will go ahead and flood your keyboard then!!! :thumbsup2 I wonder if I should just run the laptop on batteries - I would hate to electrocute myself here!!!

Hey guys!! Cheer up!!! There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I know it's going to take awhile to adjust. And once you do, get yourself involved in something, or get a job.
Steph, I hope you do sell your house soooooooooooooooonn!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you ever decide on what to do about painting the house???

heh, me too... would love to get drunk now...

i got yelled at by my lead yesterday for not clocking out for lunch... EVEN though i was on time back... he was making the excuse that i took a 50 min lunch... i told him "Screw you... i started at 2:00PM, and you give me a freakin break at 6:00PM and my lunch in 7:00PM. WHAT THE POINT OF THE BREAK THEN... i rather just combine it..."

THere next excuse is well, you should have called back... so i reply 1) no one ever picks up at the office... 2) you always said "ohh, your breaks sheet is not done yet, just wait"

:\ Well, management really needs to rethink their strategies on us... or else the retention rate of us leaving will be even higher...

*sigh* just my rant. :\
