OMG, how awful!

Does make me wonder about the whole story though, ya know? Like was he being a jerk to her during the game, then all of a sudden pops out the ring when the Jumbotron is on them? I dated a boy (for waaaay too long) who had a lot of issues, but I thought I could 'help' him, and after all, he was just terribly misunderstood, right?

Anyway, whenever we were around other people he turned into this horrible person who made jokes at my expense. One time in a bar he brought up the fact that my childhood dog had just died, knowing it would make me cry in front of everyone. This older 'townie' who was sitting nearby stopped by and asked me WTH I was doing with this jerk, I could definitely do better. :sad2:

I think he did expect us to get married, and I just knew there was no way I would ever marry someone like that and have kids with him. (Unfortunately I did still date him after that; youth really is wasted on the young!) :rotfl:

who are you guys talking about? I would be so embarrassed if someone proposed to me in front of all those people

Scary - but would you really sit there for a few hours with your DS???
Not without a cage...

Noooooo, I definitely wasn't thinking you could do that with two kids. Unless you could bring a laptop and DVD or something to occupy them that long. Would it? It might with my two, I'm not sure.

One thing I did LOVE about laundry rooms is that there were several machines, so if you time it right, you get 3 or 4 loads going all at once, and within 2 hours, laundry for the week is done! :thumbsup2

Yeah, sitting in the laundry room with a busy little boy would be torture!

Timers are you're friend!
Wash is 20 to 30 minutes, dryer is a good 60 minutes.

I pull my detergent back to the apartment (ziploc bags, just put enough powder detergent for the amount of laundry you are doing.. saves your back from carrying the big ole box plus laundry, plus one arm free to hold onto DS). And no worries about getting it stolen.

Baskets put on kids head is fun.. tell him it's a helmet?? bee keeper's mask?? That way he gets to help, keeping him occupied!!
;)

Unfortunately no - Alec will not sit still for a second - and he will not sit and watch tv. I definitely thought I would go with the get the laundry for the week done - but it kills me to carry it up all the stairs afterwards - so I can only do 2 in one day (I did 4 the 1st time, and nearly died). It is three flights of super steep stairs to our place, and then another flight straight up to the closet :scared1:

ahhhh, But I bet you have some great looking calves now :thumbsup2

Yikes! That's a lotta walking, and a lotta stairs! I'm trying to remember how I used to do that! I guess I would walk one or two loads at a time. It wasn't nearly as many stairs though. And no kids at the time! I can't imagine trying to carry a heavy basket and hang onto DS3, uff! :sad2:

I like the helmet idea - he has his issues but he loves to help. He has to help put in the quarters or the day is over. He is currently folding up and putting away his and his sisters clothes :thumbsup2

Really??? That's impressive! I can't even get DS7 to keep the clothes folded as they sit in the drawer! :sad2:

When I could do laundry on my own time I would usually do a load of dark kids clothes and light kids clothes at least once a week. It would take me forever to put them away, so I had DD (for probably the last year or so) in charge of folding up all the jammies while I did the others. DS watched and was never really any help until the last month or so, and now, he is actually quite good at folding clothes :thumbsup2

Gotta run. DS7 has lost his reading momentum now that he's finished the cool reading programs, so I'm trying to keep it up by reading the first Harry Potter book to him. Harry is just about to head to the train station (Platform 9 3/4) to head to Hogwarts!

Catch you all later! And dizzy, keep your chin up, girl! Things WILL get better.

"Oh, son....?" :teeth:

I can't get DBF to put the folded clothes back in the drawers. After I do laundry I usually fold it in the spare room and leave it sitting on the bed until we wear it again. :rotfl:

It's funny, hubby likes his shirts to be folded very neatly so he doesn't have wrinkles.. yet he won't put his clothes away :confused3 Piles of laundry all over the room, neatly folded , but piles nonetheless.

Doesn't help that we don't have a dresser right now. I piled all his shirts in the bottom of our closet.. our closet is HUGE compared to the tiny thing we had in the last place.

That's another thing...I hang our shirts up in the laundry room to dry and they stay there too until we wear them. :rotfl:

:cool2:

Hey guys just taking a break in the rat race. Think I'm coming down with something. I feel like crap. Dh works tonight so hopefully I'll get on.

Alex it sounded like your Bday party went smoothly. Morgan's birthday is Thursday but her party is Sept 7.
