That is precisely the reason I keep dragging DD into the kitchen to help me cook dinner. She needs to learn how to cook. I think for so long parents concentrated on the school work, that we forgot to teach our kids how to wash clothes, run a vacuum, cook dinner, peel a potato and balance a checkbook. When DS is a teenager I will also make him help cook. Geez, aren't I a fun mom!


Nice hotels, our rates right now range from $89-$350 a night. Apparently some people are willing to pay the price!

Now here's a question for you? How do you know what an Albino Worm looks like?? Just curious....

My mom was always cooking and baking but the only thing that interested me was the baking part. I love to bake. I'm making a cheesecake tonight. Not the kind you just throw in the fridge, but the kind you bake first. I bake everything from scratch.

I make my kids do their own laundry, dishes (when we didn't have a dsihwasher), and make simple meals on their own.

But I'm not really good at cooking.. meat is a foreign object to me. Chicken, ground beef, ground turkey- no problem. Anything else, I have no freakin clue!

I was trying to decide.. worm like or eel like? worm sounded better. Growing up near Lake Superior we had to watch for lamprey eels stuck on any fish we caught. ewwww, they are icky things!

Plus, I ain't afraid of no 20 something vultures. I have 2 decades of experience on them! I can do anything! I watched Hee Haw (so I know what Brittney came from and could have predicted her downfall)! I could survive a depression (watched the Waltons) and could live off the land (Little House on the Prairie). Not only that, I was watching Emergency! going to Rampart Hospital way before those ER dudes were even born!

I quit baking, that's what I have DD for! There's got to be some sort of payback for changing those thousands of dirty diapers!
