Whenever I visit the US (I'm in Canada) I LOVE :flower: being able to order unsweetened iced tea. Here in Canada you can only get sweet cold tea. So, at DW will I be able to find Unsweetened iced tea at most/all restaurants, including counter restaurants? And at the Pop Century, will I be able to use a refillable mug to get unsweetened iced tea?

thanks everyone!

Yes, they have it. Sometimes it's a blessing because there are some Orlando restaurants that only have sweetened tea with the raspberry flavoring. Instant, yucK!

You can only get sweet cold tea in Canada! I want to go there! I know in the Southern US (not sure if Florida counts) you can get sweet tea, but in Maryland it's mostly unsweetened. I love sweet tea and drives me nuts to put in 20 packs of sugar in one glass.

Ok I didn't answer your question at all - Sorry

I think most of the counter service places don't brew fresh tea but use a mix...but you should have a choice between sweet or unsweet. The sit-downs, however, usually have brewed, unsweetened tea.

Yes, only sweetened iced tea, and it's usually Nestea or some other mix. You never find real brewed iced tea here, and I can drink buckets of it!

All the resorts I've been to have unsweetened iced tea in the food court for the refillable mugs. I could live on iced tea- I like it so much better than soda.

It's easier to add sugar than take it out, don't you think?

20 packs of sugar...:earseek:

I've gotta rave about the unsweetened iced tea at Wolfgang Puck's Express! It had a nice almost-orangy flavor. Unusual, but delicious!

I posted a similar question before my last trip and was very pleased to hear that Casey's (counter service at the MK) offers unsweetened iced tea. Never got around to it that trip, though.

This is something I have been thinking about also, I'm glad to hear that I will be able to get my iced tea unsweetened. I can't drink pop or most juices including lemonade, it makes my stomach hurt so bad that I don't even want to move.

Actually, in the "south" you refer to it only as "tea". But I don't think that the CM would know that. I was teased several times in the Bayou when asking for iced tea

Wow - I didnt' know that. So, if you want hot tea, would you have to ask for "hot tea?" It's the opposite here in Canada. And I agree, it's so much easier to add sugar if you want sweet tea!

In all of Florida except WDW, tea is sweet tea. Disney keeps theirs unsweetened.

In all of the South, except WDW, tea is sweet tea. And yes, if you just ask for tea you'll get iced tea. About adding sugar - it doesn't taste the same if you add sugar to the glass. It's much better if sweetened when made!

We drink a gallon a day at our house (DH, DD4, and myself). Mostly it's DH taking a huge refill mug to work everyday and drinking several glasses when he gets home and me drinking it throughout the day. DD usually only has a small cupful at some point in the day. We use Splenda in our tea so I'm glad to see that it's unsweetened. Unless WDW has Splenda packets I guess I'll be bringing my own little yellow packets. I can't stand Equal or Sweet & Low. DH lost 20lbs last year when he stopped drinking Dr. Pepper and we quit using sugar in our tea. Now I think tea sweetened with sugar is way to sweet.

Thank you for asking this question. I hadn't thought about it. I don't know why, I will never forget going to college in TN and going to get dinner the first time and nearly spitting my tea across the table at my roommate when I took my first sip. My son and I both drink a lot of iced tea year round and neither of us put anything in it.

You'll be fine, because WDW has Splenda, I am just the opposite, I can only put Sweet & Low in my tea. Next time I have to bring my pink packets with me.
