So I finally found Ear Planes at Walmart this morning but, of course, they only had adult size. I'm travelling with my 7 y/o. I'm going to check other pharmacies around town but if I can't find child sized, should I order them online or will adult size work in his ears. My instinct says no and I'll keep looking but I've never used them at all before.

I use ear planes every time I fly, I have found the best place to get them is my local drug store. As for the fit, children should be able to use the adult size they are quite flexable. Try them in for size. If you loose them during your trip I have seen them at every gift shop at every airport I've been in, needed these last year when I forgot them in my checked bags.

DS is just 6, and our last flight was when he was 5. I usually get the junior size, but I have used adult sized when I felt I had no choice. They were fine, just not *quite* as comfortable for him.

That said, I've seen them at airports! In fact I've bought two sets at our airport (SeaTac), when I forgot about them ahead of time.

I've found junior size either at RiteAid or Walgreens. They also sell them at drugstore.com, so if you have other purchases there (to get to the free shipping total) and enough time, you could order them there.

I usually find the child size at CVS drug store. Good luck. They really help out my son.
