That sounds like so much fun! We surprised our kids in May with a trip. We were helping Uncle Ben move. I hope you do a video and take lots of pictures! I can't wait to see how your surprise goes!

For anyone with an AP you may find the following information about Early Screenings of "John Carter" at DHS interesting................for the rest of us, I have to wonder how it will effect the crowd levels at DHS on March 3rd and 4th.

I had originally planned on hitting DHS maybe for a few hours but then decided to go to Epcot instead and I think I am glad I did since I do think the crowd levels might rise due to the movie screening, especially as it might draw in the locals.

Anyway just wanted to give everyone a heads up and if you happen to be a AP holder , something you might want to plan on doing during your trip.

Happy Saturday everyone , I became very excited today when I looked at my reservation on the Disney site and saw it say I can do online check-in on Feb. 23 only 26 days from today!

The jury is still out on whether I plan to do online check-in or not but I am leaning towards NOT. Why? Because I read on another resort thread that if you do online check-in it wipes out any room requests you may have added to your reservation and you will need to call and re-add them.

A big shout out and Thank You to Lidian for alerting me to the fact that Disney has changed the dates of the Liberty Square Riverboat.

The Liberty Square Riverboat is now scheduled to be closed from Saturday January 28 until Sunday May 20th.*

I love the Riverboat and this is the second time it has been closed during one of our trips

I am truely hopeing Disney does not spring anymore surprise closings on us March Trip Guests.

I am glad I had already changed my plans for that day as the way I see it many Florida residents have AP so good opportunity for them to make use of them and see an early release of the movie. It is my guess the crowds will increase if only due to the fact of once there people will most likely spend time in the park before or after the movie and then add in on-site guests who are AP holders and might not have planned on going to DHS that day will now change their plans and head over there.
Waiting to see if TP and easyWDW change there crowd predictions for DHS that day.

The Liberty Square Riverboat is now scheduled to be closed from Saturday January 28 until Sunday May 20th.*

I'm a bit miffed that this is two years in a row it's been closed during my trips. It's not a deal breaker, but if they add in another refurb ... I'm gonna go Jackie Chan on someone.

I am starting to feel like Chevy Chase in National Lampoon Vacation

Hi! I'm a little late posting here, but we will be there March 13-18. I'm taking DD on a surprise mommy/daughter birthday trip. Right now the plan is to tell her that she is going with me to a conference for work. I think I'll have to tell her its in Orlando because she will ask and will most likely pick up on it regardless. Then when we get to the airport in Orlando I'm going to say "lets just go to Disney instead!"

My DH is going to tell her before we leave not to let mommy get any crazy ideas in Orlando. But I'm not sure about that. She's fairly perceptive when she wants to be.

I've gone back and forth on where we are staying hoping to get into BLT or VWL, but I got lucky and got a value studio at AKV last week so I think we'll stick with that. We were in a regular studio and had wait listed for BLT and VWL but when I saw the value studio I dropped the wait lists. I'd love to be closer to MK, but we'll manage.

I still don't have a definite plan for ADR's, I keep switching stuff. But I do know that we are doing the afternoon tea on the 13th which is her birthday and the wishes dessert party that night.

I'm so excited, but very nervous to be going during such a busy time. We are used to fall and early december with low crowds.

So excited....made my final payment over the weekend, using Disney Rewards for a large portion. With the Free Dining and my Disney Rewards this trip is going to be $600 less than the identical trip we took last March.

Just hope the weather is a bit nicer this year.

Mickey Mail, I didn't think about that. I should be getting my ME tags any day now. DD always checks the mail. I better start checking it myself until it gets here. That could blow the surprise as she would never let up until I told her what it was.

And you know what else, she is going to see the tags on the luggage. I'll have to put them on at the counter without her noticing or something. She's just too observant when you don't want her to be.

Hi there. My husband and I will be at POFQ March 3-14. Can't wait! We booked the wishes fireworks party for the 7th (my birthday). Somebody mentioned the castle show.....will we be able to see it from the party (terrace)? We have a room only reservation and have received are Magical Express tags/vouchers. Should we expect any other Mickey mail?
