UnOfficial March 2012 Trip Planners Tread-DIS Meet 3/8 Info Pg 1

Les Chefs de France ... well, I have no issues recommending it to anyone! They have a good variety on their menu, and if you have a picky eater, I'm sure they'll do their best to accommodate (no seasoning or switching out sides). Plus, any kid meal can be turned into an adult meal. I found this out in 2009 when my aunt didn't want anything on the menu at a place I booked. She asked if she could order off the kid's menu and they said they'd be happy to bring her a kid's meal. We were on the DDP, so I don't recall how it was charged, but I'm sure they increase the size and price. I want to say she ordered a grilled chicken breast, and it was served with two breasts and sides. I truly do not recall ... I just know she was happy and didn't have to eat the Norwegian food. :lmao:

As far as 50s go, I can't wait until my March 7th ADR! We ate there in May and I licked my plate clean. Yum! This year, I'm looking forward to the antics. (I'll be requesting a playful server up on check-in.)

I don't blame you! I've had ADRs where I thought we'd never get a table at ... and ADRs where they sat you as you walked in the door. You just never know. I'd rather err on the side of cautious than miss out on something. :thumbsup2

I try whenever possible to make ADRs for the 1st available seating whether it be for B, L, or D to cut down on wait times but some places such as 50's PT are open continually from lunch to dinner so it is not really possible to do.

We have not been back to 50's PT since '94? I think, but I remember loving their meatloaf and DH loved their fried chicken so I know it will be a hit again and the laughs were great too.

I think I am satisfied with my ADRs now, geez I said that before too :rotfl:

Oh, ya'll are making me hungry for some Disney food now! :lmao: I am glad to hear great recommendations for 50's PT and Chefs de France. We have ressies at both. How about Sanaa, Ohana, or Boatwrights? Anyone have reviews for these? MMMM, I love Disney food!!! {insert Chef Mickey icon here}. :thumbsup2

pas -

Happy to have you here with us March Travelers, you will surely keep me on my toes with all your changes :rotfl:

:rotfl:

pas - I approve 100% of the change to CR TPV CL :thumbsup2
I knew you would approve
Anyone looking forward to visiting the Flower & Garden Festival should find this article interesting. I know I am looking forward to the Festival for the Photographic opportunities. I was able to get some fantastic pictures in 2009.

Thanks!!!!

We are such creatures of habit, I try to make ADRs for our normal dinner time (as close as they'll allow). I try to have dinner on the table when DH walks in the door, so it's natural to look for tables between 5-5:30. We eat snack around 2:30-3ish, so I don't want to sit down too early for a dinner, and not be hungry for it. :goodvibes

I'm sure DD will go for the fried chicken ... and I hope she can eat it! I'm looking forward to the pot roast again!

Plus, we're DISers. We have great skill in being happy with ADRs now and changing them in 10 minutes. :lmao:

I stay hungry for some nice WDW food! :lmao::rotfl2:

I've not had any experience with Sanaa, O'hana, or Boatwrights ... so can't help you there.

But I can share 50s and Chefs pictures if anyone needs them. :goodvibes

I love Kona, too! I'm excited for breakfast at Kona. :goodvibes

Does Tapeno = Teppan Edo? Just wondering if the keyboard rearranged itself, they're known to do that. ;)

If so, we had lunch there in May ... the Ginger Chocolate Cake is to DIE FOR! I will definitely be checking for it on the CS menus in the area. :cloud9:

OMG!!!! That looks amazing! We are going to Teppan Edo this time and this makes me so happy:yay:Were also going to 50's Prime time! Do you know if you can still get the milkshake as your drink option there?

I need some insight!! We arrive on the 9th and are staying at POP for one night. We will get up and head over to CBR for our package (free dining). We have reservations on the 10th at 10:30 for 1900 Park Fare and then we were going to head over to Hollywood Studios. Is this even going to work? Are we going to be doing too much traveling? Will we have enough time in the am to get up, get over to CBR, check in and then head to 1900 Park Fare. My other thought is to do 1900 Park Fare on the 12th at 11:00...its our Epcot day. The dilemma I'm running into is that we would like to be there at park opening...so that means getting to Epcot at opening, catching a ride or two (or grab fastpasses) and than take the monorail over to the GF. Which sounds like a better option? other thoughts? I already have Chef Mickey and Crystal Palace scheduled on our MK days, so that is out. We have to do breakfast because of Alice!

While things can change at any given time, milkshakes could be ordered as your beverage in May. :thumbsup2

Will you have a car? Or will you be 100% dependent on Disney Transportation?

If you have your own vehicle, and get moving in the AM, I see no issues. :thumbsup2 Let's say you arrive at CBR at 7am, even if you wait for an hour to check-in, that gives you 2.5 hours to get to PF.

If you taxi over to CBR, wait an hour for check-in, then take a bus to DHS, then a bus to CR ... then you're at the mercy of WDW. I still think it could be doable, but might be more stressful since you're not in control. :confused3

No car. I will be 100% dependent on Disney Transportation. I want to make things easy for me since its just going to be my daughter and I.

It's hard to say ... since sometimes you get to a bus stop and a bus pulls right up. Other times, you'll stand there wondering if all the buses are lost. :sad2: I think if you get the move on, you should be okay. :thumbsup2

I wanted to share something cute with you all. Do any of you subscribe to the Disney Food Blog? If you do, this will not be new to you. If not, sit back and enjoy something that will make you smile! popcorn::

You know you are dining at Disney when...

Your beverage glows in the dark.

You find it appropriate for your server to correct your table manners (and quite frankly, get annoyed when they don't).

You order ketchup and have multiple bottles delivered to your table by a dozen patrons seated near you.

There's a train passing over your head while you're eating...indoors...and you're OK with that.

You can have your meal in Mexico and dessert in Germany, buy you don't have to get on a plane.

You've taken to saying "all you care to eat" and "on select days" when tweaking your trip plans.

You made your meal reservations three months before booking your hotel room.

You encourage your kids to make noise, sing, and parade around the room while dining out.

You're seated in a multi-colored ice cave with a meteor shower next door.

And, last but not least...Everyone knows not to take a bite until you take a picture of the food!

LOVED these and wanted to share. Do you have your own you would add to the list? Go ahead and complete the sentence: You know you are dining at Disney when...
