Upon further review...all of the Values are showing no availability for 3/4-3/10

We'll just have to wait and see how they change the hours to gauge what the crowd levels may be like..

Wow I guess when POP came up for me the other day it was maybe a cancellation, I just just checked again and your right no room at the inn at any of the values. My dates are 3/4 to 3/9

If they are going to change anymore of the Park hours or add additional shows, F! or MSEP hopefully they will post them soon.

I know last weeks they announced MK staying open and extra hour one day before

Hi... just found this thread. Going to WDW March 15-19th, just a quick cheap trip to see a couple of Atlanta Braves spring training games. 37 days and counting...

Change of plans for our trip. New dates 3/24 - 3/30 and staying at POR. We added a person so we needed a room for 5. We were able to keep our free dining too. Changed many of our dining reservations too!!

Starting to get nervous about the crowds from 3/16-3/23 the more I read. I went around then in 08 and don't remember it being that bad. However, everything I'm reading is to the contrary.

How busy it is any given time during Spring Break has a lot to do with when Easter falls. If in 2008 Easter fell later in April it is very possible that this year you will experience bigger crowds.

I know when I went in 2009 we were there from 3/24 to 3/31, Easter was on April 12 and it was a chaotic madhouse with wall to wall crowds, most time we felt like salmons trying to swim upstream. DHS was so bad one day we had to leave there after about 2 hours, went over to Epcot which was almost just as bad.

I just checked and in 2008 Easter fell on March 23 so it should have been crazy busy when you were there, I know I went 4 years on Easter week and it was always very very busy.

Maybe the economy accounted for lower crowds in 2008? Disney released their earning report yesterday and attendance is up 3% from last quarter so we might all be in for a surprise with the crowds, I hope not I am going earlier this year.

You guys are making me really nervous with all the crowds talk. We always go during slower months like Sept/Oct/Dec and rarely deal with any crowds at all. I've known that this would be a busy time and I'm trying to prepare for that. But I'm getting more nervous as the time approaches.

I'm really hoping that by using AM EMH mornings that DD and I will be able to get what we want done in the mornings. I plan to get to her favorties first (EE, ToT, RNRC and SM) and try to ride them a few times each until either the lines get long or its time for us to leave for our late breakfast ADR's. Our evenings in the parks will be to see the nighttime shows and stuff and maybe catch a few rides if we come across something with not too long of a wait or just deal with the wait if DD really wants to do it.

Is it going to be miserably busy though? DD and I love to browse through the shops and just be in the parks. Usually with DH we are in and out and don't slow down to just enjoy everything.

So I feel like a month trader... due to the extreme differences in airfare were now going Feb 28- March 7 lol YAY for plus 1 day and its STILL cheaper than if we flew Mar 1-8 lol

We are not nor have we ever been "rope drop people" so I am pretty sure from all that I have read if you do rope drop on days when crowd levels are 9's and 10's it might not be so bad. The weather was great last time I went in March, the same thing when we use to go in April for Easter. I am not sure about early March keeping my fingers crossed.
Evenings were busy although we only spent 2 out and about the rest we spent at the resort.
Once you hit March 9 the crowd level hit the 9's and 10's and it is that way right up thru Easter week. One thing the parks stay open longer so that is an advantage of going during peak times.
I have to say crowds never use to bother me, I loved going Easter Week and that was before FP the norm was to stand in line for at least an hour for the popular rides but your last trip in 2009 did me in.
If early March is overly busy I may be spending a lot of time at the resort one thing that will save the day for us this trip is we are doing the DxDP so we have our days broken up with nice breaks to sit, eat and relax.
Last time we had no ADR and had to deal with the crowds at CS places even to eat which has now turned me off of CS for life I think.
Maybe I am just getting old and cranky but even my DS and Ddil hated the crowds we encountered.

I checked last evening to see what our flights were going for and the price is up $200 from what I paid in September.

Will get your dates changed on the list......Now you get to do 1 more day on the 29th

I am not sure if I ever went when it was 1 and 2's maybe the time we went the 1st week in October years ago but that was before I knew about TP and crowd levels, I do think it was before F&W Fest and I know it was the first year they had the Halloween Party to compete with US Halloween Horror Nights.
Maybe if I can swing booking a BB during this trip and book November I can pick a time with 1's and 2's

Well, with a room only reservation I knew not to expect any more Mickey mail but did get a photopass letter.....it's something....and a cute envelope...lol.

Going early March, we were hoping the crowds wouldn't be overwhelming. Although the last time we went, it was July and we did just fine (guess we're just used to crowds). We do get up for rope drop which helps. I am thinking maybe it might be good to avoid emh parks (would be a first for us as we are just so programmed into going to the emh!). Will probably be thinking about that until we are actually there.

We are planning to go to the meet on 3/8.

Funny- DH and I had already decided we were going to wait until Fall Break to go in 2013...October. We have never been that time of year, but hear that it is much better.

October is wonderful. Its my favorite time to go and DD and I both love MNSSHP. DH hangs at the resort with DS and DD and I go and have a blast. I just love it.

This year our family trip is in December. That's DH favorite time to go. Its really nice too, and the decorations are beautiful. Dh says our December trip in 2008 was the best we've been on so far. He says it was the most relaxed. I'm trying to plan another relaxed trip this December for him. It's hard because DD and love to get up and go and do stuff all day and DH feels like he should be with us so he does until mid week when he's just over it. So since DD and I have our March trip to go go go the whole time I'm going to try to plan our December trip more to DH liking.

Did you go around Columbus day? I've heard its more crowded then. We usually go more towards the 3rd week and have had really nice low crowds. We were able to ride EE 4 or 5 times pretty much walk on or less than 15 min wait through out the morning. The only thing that was consistently bad was TSM.

Great attitude! Please remind of this when you see my on here whining and complaining. I have done nothing but obssess about crowds since Aug. I changed my dates 3 times because of my Disney OCD.

It is worse when two things happen: mardi gras (for which the entire state of LA comes to WDW and its environs) and cheerleading tournies. Both things happening at the same time as it did last year when we went? WATCH THE HECK OUT!!!

But that said, if you manage your fast passes, pack your patience and know that you are in a place that most people don't get to go to it will be allllllllright.

Awesome... us too. We went last year for the first time during March/spring training, and the parks were crowded, but it was still a blast!

I had heard about the mardi gras crowd, and checked to see when Fat Tuesday was this year but did not know about the cheerleading tournies, that could explain the values and mods being sold out.

Found this on another site:

UCA Nationals will be Saturday & Sunday, March 10 & 11, 2012... However, it is mandatory that all of the teams stay at the resort from the 9th through the 12th... I know alot of the teams stay at the All Star Sports Resort.
