Unmasking The Horror Questions

I tried to search, but I saw a few people talking about Unmasking The Horror as a tour option, but not many reviews, or answers to the question I have (which is in relation to this year which would make sense). I'd ask if it's really worth the money, but I would imagine to a lot of you that is a no brainer and say yes, especially since the tour includes a BTS look and you do not have to purchase admission to do the tour.

My main question is since it is a group and not a private tour, I would imagine the houses are pre-selected and not something that is chosen by the guests. I would imagine there would be too many opinions on that. Since that is more likely the case of it being pre-selected, does anybody know, or know that is rumored this year to be the minimum three houses that are visited? Also, is the tour still around 2 to 2 1/2 hours usually, I've read past reviews of that being the case, but wondering if people know that's still the case with at least their 2018 experience (as 2019 HHN just started).

I’ve been doing that tour since it started
Absolutely enjoy it as you can see the details put into the house with the lights on
And if you are not familiar with the house scene (be it based on a movie) the tg will give background info to the group about it

Yea the houses are pre selected
I know of 3 houses for this year’s tour but will hold off mentioning them
Some peeps want to be surprised until they are at the tour

Yes the houses are preselected and the 3 house tour is about 2 hours
The 6 house tour is about 4 hours + as there will be a 30 minute break between the 3 and 6 house tours

The tour guide will give background info inside the house you are in
Story line will be explained how special features in the house connects to the theme
Lights are on during this tour

I do the 6 house tours but many stay with the 3 house tour

When a person goes to hhn, they can miss details and features inside the house
It is dark inside the houses
Doing the day tour, gives you a heads up on where boo holes are located and other info

Since some want to be surprised when they go at night, I can answer specific questions by Pm after I do my UTH tour

You are correct
You do not need a day park ticket to do this tour
You check in at a designated place at the park and let in by staff at Vip tours
You wait until all are checked in for the tour and your TG will start the tour then
