Trying to find an answer??

Coming in July for b-days and I read somewhere that there was an "UNLIMITED MARINA" package u could buy. Allowing up to 5 in your party use of the Water Mice, Pntoons and Sailboats.

Here's the question......... Does anyone know if its good at any of the marinas or only at the one u purchase the package at?

Thanks!

From the info I got E-mailed to me, from other dis-ers and the contempary resort: you can only use it at the resort you buy the package at.

MKY :D

Thanks! Now that makes it difficult. Deciding what resort.

I have to call, considering they've raised the price on everything else, I am wondering if that went up too? Last I heard it was $199

the package is not offered at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian unless you are staying there.

if it helps any the best place i have found to rent a boat is any resorts on bay lake or the sevens seas lagon becuase there is so much room and they put the biggest engines in those boats.

Have reservations for the CR in Jan and one thing we are looking forward to is trying out the waterboats. How big is the Water Mouse boat - have DH, DS age 6, DD age 2 and myself. Can we fit in one boat or are they 2 seaters?

Thanks.

you won't be able to do it with one water mouse, they are 2 seaters with a wait capacity of roughly 300 lbs. you can have the parrent rent one for 1 hour and split the time between the kids though, you have to go back to the same resort you rented from. your other option is to rent a bigger boat, such as a pantoon boat, they are not as much fun though, but everybody can get on I think they have a capacity of 10? anyhow hope that info helps.

The price you quoted was for Disney Vacation members, which I believe included a discount. You must have atleast one person over the age of 18. We are going in July and will probably be doing it at Wilderness Lodge. I also thought that the Poly was included, but I could be wrong.
The Pantoon boats are great to go out with friends, etc for a nice relaxing afternoon. You can take those, atleast you used to be able to, to downtown disney, but you can't dock them there.

But this unlimited plan was changed recently. You can only have unlimited water mice rentals with the family plan at WL or Ft Wilderness...and you have to be staying at one of these resorts. I have no idea why they changed this. This was the main reason why we were considering the WL as we a child that is 12 that would get full use of this.

I've called WDW-PLAY on this and they still say any resort, however, if you email Disney, they will come back with the answer I mentioned above.

Personally, I hope the email was wrong. I can't imagine paying $30/mouse/hour. We need 3 at a time which would be $90/hour!

That is really disappointing news. The "unlimited marina plan" is one of the reasons we are staying at the Poly for a week with our three kids. We might have opted for YC otherwise.

We are a party of four. I'm assuming this package is only good for one person at a time? In other words, can my two son's go out on mouse boats at the same time, or is it one person goes out, and when he comes back, the other person goes out?
We are staying at the Poly, and are planning on using the mouse boats alot. The boys love them.
Also, I am not on any package plan. Can I still buy this plan?
Anyone know who I can call to find out? Can I call concierge at the Poly and will they know?
Thanks

PartyOf5, are you saying that the pontoon boats are no longer included in the plan? Just the water mice? What about bikes? Those used to be included as well... Also, in the past you did not have to be staying in the resort where you were purchasing the plan, has that now changed? We usually use this plan, so I'm curious....

I followed up with a question asking to confirm that it's no longer available at other resorts with marinas and the reply was "that's correct." And if I'm reading correctly, WL marina is only for WL guests but any Disney guest can go to Ft. Wilderness Marina.

I'd suggest speaking to the marina at your individual resort. I just spoke with YC and they said they still had the family plan, $199 per week for up to family of 5.

I have one other question that I probably know the answer too, but here goes. We will be at WL at the end of July and we will have two rooms since there are two families in our group, can the 5 people come from the two rooms or do they have to be in the same room?

Just talked to a CM at the marina at the Polynesain and he said as of right now they have the packages but they are considered specials. There is a managers meeting on Thurs. and at that time they will decide if the plans will be available but it will be the same across property. He said that it might just not be available over the different holidays.

Just talked to WL marina and got the answer to my question and thought someone else could benefit from the info. The plan covers up to 5 drivers of the boats and this can be people from different rooms. For instance, we are traveling with another family and we can buy this and that way all four adults can drive the boats and the kids can ride. So basically, it will cost each family $100 for unlimited boat access. Now it has really become a bargain for us.

Gee, I hope Disney continues to offer this. We won't be at the WL until June 11-19, 2004 and my boys 13 and 10 would absolutely love unlimited use of the Water Mice during our stay.

We paid just under $20 per water mouse per half hour last time we were there. So yes, it does get expensive if you hire more than one at a time!
