as I stated earlier, I had already booked a trip to Orlando for May. My Universal dates were May 3-16th bummer that I miss the opening. We will be over at WDW by then :(
I guess I could wait and see if we can get 1 day tickets and go over before we leave Orlando on the 29th of May, but they'll probably be sold out by then and I don't want to purchase another package or buy more multi day tickets to go for just 1 day - kids really want to see the Super Nintendo World, really we would just go for that at this stage.
I'll just have to wait and see how luck swings for us, I can't change my dates as I have DVC rentals booked for WDW.

We won't be back in Orlando for 3-5 years, it's gotten too expensive for us to do our yearly trips now.
It sounds like 1 of you could buy the cheapest AP for Universal and then by a single epic ticket for each person in your party (up to 6 tickets). You could by that on Oct 24 so that you wouldn't have to wait to see if you can get tickets.

There was mention of soft opening available to AP holders so you might be able to get in earlier than May 22. I imagine everyone in your party would need an AP though.

I apologize if this has been asked in this thread, I haven't been able to read the entire thing.
We currently have Universal APs. They are good until July of 2025. I got an email that said I was given first dibs on buying tickets to EPIC Universe since I was a pass holder. They open sales for pass holders and then a few days later for the general public.
I am confused. Do our passes not include all the parks?
Thank you.

Your passes don't include the new park. They only give you first chance at buying tickets for the new park, that's all

I’m interested to see the packages. What I don’t understand is who will stay in Epic’s hotels if you can only buy single day tickets? Unless I’m missing something, I will stay by the original parks.
I think a lot of people are only interested in the new park and want to see that and stay near it. I've been to the older parks as recently as last year and pretty much just want to stay near EU and see that park next year or the year after. I think UO knows this.

I wish Helios had included EP!

Wrong. AP would need to be active by Oct 24, and you can only buy for other passholders.

So Helios starting at $293 sounds unbelievable but since they don't have express I guess that is possible very off season like in mid September. Still its reasonable IMO - might get that price with an AP in September if I have a bit of luck.
I think its like Disney's ticket prices - starting at some price that is only a few days a year.
Club lounge at Helios would be very nice IMO - especially since its so close to the park.

Wish we had some more info on APs and soft opening - I'd sort of prefer that than Memorial Day weekend. Have to really think this through. I guess worst case I can buy one day tickets and adjust them later if I don't go, assuming I get one.

In addition I would need to renew my AP to get access to soft openings and I usually don't do that. Also cant imagine we will get enough notice to book a trip down for a soft opening.

Might be best to just wait till HHN season - but it would be very cool to be there for the opening.

Well I've got a few days to think about it.

I read an article from Disney Tourist Blog that compared Helios to Royal Pacific, similarly not having EP. I think that's fair. The rooms are also supposedly small to maximize the number of rooms in the building, which is fine with me as I'm only in the hotel to sleep. I'd still much rather be at Helios steps away from the new park!

The photos of the rooms I saw were nothing special. I also assume the $293 rooms are parking lot view. But yeah being right there is pretty cool. Doing the other parks is also a PITA since you have to go to the hub.
Still have to stay for at least a night or two IMO.
I guess the other thing is how hard will it be to get from the two moderates to Helios - if there is a decent walking path that would make those ever more attractive to me.

I was just about to buy the promo 2 park 3 day get 2 days free ticket for our Aug 2025 trip. Is that now a bad idea - should I be waiting on the ticket pricing that includes Epic? It's all so confusing haha
If your thought is waiting on a deal like that that includes EU, I don't think that's happening. Options right now appear to be:

- Go for one of the announced 3+ day bundles that include a day at EU, you'll be able to check pricing on that soon
- Buy the bundle you mentioned and gamble that they start single day sales for EU by the time you trip happens. There is obviously a chance that they DONT have single day ticket sales at this point, nobody knows when they’ll stop the bundle restrictions. So this is a big risk and I don't think I could recommend it.

EDIT: as mentioned below the promo ends before EU opens so that's not an option.

This is frustrating not knowing what's coming. We have tentatively planned on going next December not a problem for me and my DH we have AP but my adult children and their spouses do not and I can't see one day at Epic being enough for them.

Yeah no doubt - I am really surprised the 5 day ticket was only 1 day of Epic.
My guess is they are betting on selling a lot of one day tickets if they need to and since they are dated the can somewhat control the people in the park on a given day and of course they are full price one day tickets.

Its great to have all the initial detailed for opening - but its still left me with a lot of questions.

Regardless, it looks like those promo tickets only have start dates through April 2025 (not surprising).
Ah, that makes sense. So yeah, it's either go for the EU bundle or wait for single day tickets, which we have no idea when they'll start and it's very possible they won't be available by August 2025.

Universal says 2 day tickets are coming "at a later date" which is what we will need since my son and his wife are active duty so they can get military tix to the other parks. Or I buy the bundle now and hope I can add a single day whenever they are released:confused3

This is exactly what I want to do. Get a package on 10/22, then go back on 10/24 and try to get single day tickets around the time of the package.

The single day tickets that will be released on 10/24 are only for AP holders.
No idea when the 1 and 2 day tickets for the general public will be released.
