Any guesses how this impacts late May/early June WDW crowds? Takes people away from WDW? Or more people in Orlando so bigger crowds at both?
My recollection from this year and last was that the parks has small summer slump. So much so they were offering discounts to entice people to come out.
BUT I'm assuming because the entry to Epic will only be given with multi-day tickets, some people may choose to do Universal only trips. So maybe a small decline in WDW. I know a some people are fed up with Disney's prices and overly complicated planning.

I guess I hadn't thought of that angle. I cringe at the thought of what that would cost...
Based on the early promo for the 3 day package I'm not sure it'll be that bad. Adult ticket is supposedly $352-$521 total, would guess that's without any park hopper option. For reference, a three day ticket for WDW (no hopper) in June is $467. We'll see how it plays out when they finally start sales but between this and the promo showing that Helios will start at a very reasonable price ($293), seems like Uni is pricing this pretty aggressively for a big expansion. Was fully prepared for Helios to start at 400 or more and three day tickets to be significantly more expensive.

Does anyone know if your annual pass has to be active to buy one day tickets next week or is holding an annual pass certificate sufficient?

I read in one of the FAQs from Universal that it does need to be active.

Where did you hear about the expected price for Helios? That is quite a bit lower than I was expecting as well.

ETA- I found it. It is also showing Royal Pacific at $337, although it is $767 during our dates - July 2025. I’m sure Helios will still be much pricier than the starting price as well.

Yes, but my current Power Pass is $475 and within 15 months (I got a 3-month free promo) I will have used it for at least 25 park days.

I know, I know, it's a new park and it's going to be expensive, but I'm hoping for something that is going to cover multiple trips.

Current one day/one park tickets are $134 plus tax.
Let's hope that the Epic one day tickets aren't too much more🤞

Please note that each pass will only be able to purchase one add-on ticket per date, and each purchase transaction is limited to 6 tickets to accommodate those who have other Passholders linked to their accounts.

Q: Can I buy a 1-Day Universal Epic Universe add-on ticket for a date that’s after my pass expires?
A: Yes, Passholders only have to have a valid Annual or Seasonal Pass at the time that they purchase their 1-Day Universal Epic Universe add-on tickets. They will be able to select a date for visit that occurs after their pass expiration date if they choose to do so.

Q. Can I buy these tickets for friends & family?
A: Yes, Passholders can purchase tickets on behalf of other Passholders if they’d like – they will just need to have all Pass information available at the time of purchase.

as I stated earlier, I had already booked a trip to Orlando for May. My Universal dates were May 3-16th bummer that I miss the opening. We will be over at WDW by then :(
I guess I could wait and see if we can get 1 day tickets and go over before we leave Orlando on the 29th of May, but they'll probably be sold out by then and I don't want to purchase another package or buy more multi day tickets to go for just 1 day - kids really want to see the Super Nintendo World, really we would just go for that at this stage.
I'll just have to wait and see how luck swings for us, I can't change my dates as I have DVC rentals booked for WDW.

We won't be back in Orlando for 3-5 years, it's gotten too expensive for us to do our yearly trips now.

You are able to book multiple one day tickets with you AP (6 transactions per AP) and your AP does not need to be valid when you go only when you buy. Technically you could buy Epic tickets next week and let your AP lapse if you only wanted to do Epic and not the OG parks.
No so sure - I'm confused - contradictory fine print -

Upon purchasing the Universal Epic Universe add-on ticket, the ticket will be automatically linked to the Annual or Seasonal Pass selected at the time of purchase. To access Universal Epic Universe on the date of your visit, you must present the annual or seasonal pass that the ticket was linked to, as well as photo ID.

or - Passholders only have to have a valid Annual or Seasonal Pass at the time that they purchase their 1-Day Universal Epic Universe add-on tickets. They will be able to select a date for visit that occurs after their pass expiration date if they choose to do so.

Without an imminent trip to Epic in my future, I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to renew my AP. I'm hoping that they will have a different ticket structure for Epic in place by December 2025 and I can do one humongous birthday trip then.
I'm debating as well. My AP expires in early Nov 2024, and I would be going next year in early Nov, but I wasn't planning to renew it. I may look into how much the single day Epic tickets are, but leaning towards letting it go.

I noticed that too......I will still have the physical pass after it expires - so could I not just present that? Or are they wanting it to still be valid/function? That is the question.

I was just about to buy the promo 2 park 3 day get 2 days free ticket for our Aug 2025 trip. Is that now a bad idea - should I be waiting on the ticket pricing that includes Epic? It's all so confusing haha

I read that they suggest linking your AP in the wallet of the app and purchasing the epic tickets that way. The AP will stay in your wallet even if it’s expired plus you have the physical pass. They just need to verify your identity and you had an active AP to buy the tickets.

I’m interested to see the packages. What I don’t understand is who will stay in Epic’s hotels if you can only buy single day tickets? Unless I’m missing something, I will stay by the original parks.
