Universal to CR

For our next trip we're going to start off with a few days at Universal then go to CR. In the past we either rented a car or stayed at WDW the entire time and used ME. I like ME because we don't have to rent a car. Has anyone moved from a Universal hotel to a WDW hotel without renting a car? Can you still do ME for the trip home?
