I have two passes with one day still left on them from a trip I took in 1999. These where 3 day park to park passes. Can these tickets be upgraded back to a 3 day park to park ticket by paying the price difference between a 1 day ticket to a 3 day ticket.

Thanks

This question is better suited for the USO/IOA board. The people here should be able to give you some answers. :)

I am sure they are non expiring. Not sure if you can upgrade a 3 day ticket to a 3 day ticket though.

Phamton will know.

Most of the tickets in 1999 were non-expiring so you will be able to use the last day with no problem as long as you don't upgrade it.

All of the 3 day tickets sold now are expiring tickets so if you added 2 more days onto your existing ticket it would change them into an expiring 3 day ticket. Since you used them in 1999, then that ticket would already be expired and you would even lose the last day. The only non-expiring tickets that they have now are 2 day tickets.

Your best bet is to call:
Guest Services
Main Number: 407-224-4233, choose option 2

I called universal yesterday and was told that I could not add more day's to these tickets. Not sure if this person had a clue. I would like to add two more days and pay the difference between 1 day hopper and 3 day hopper. About $ 30.00 per ticket. Any one upgrade like that?

Thanks

The person was correct. As mentioned before, upgrading them would change the ticket to an expiring 3 day ticket since they don't sell non-expiring 3 day tickets. Once they are upgraded to expiring 3 day tickets, it would make them expire either 7 or 14 days from the first day of use which was in 1999. Adding a day would make you lose the last day.

. . . following this line of thought I'm guessing that the same non expiring tickets purchased a few years back could not be upgraded to a annual pass of any sort?:confused3 Am I correct?

Maybe only if you have not used any days on it yet. I would call US and ask them. Many of us are only guessing here on some of these questions :)

Hate to go to the park and say well so and so told me on the DIS board it would be okay. :rotfl:

Technically, you can not upgarde that tickets since the AP starts on the first day of use so your AP would be expired before you use it. But sometimes exceptions can be made. It never hurts to ask.

I am reading about adding days to your Universal Studios tickets. How do you do that? I have 2 day tickets and if I choose to go a 3rd or 4th day how do I add these days to my tickets?

Last week, I called US, they said you can add days to your ticket reservation as long as you call them to upgrade before the tickets are printed out. If you have already printed out your tickets and use it, you cannot make any changes to it.

Someone gave you wrong information. Many (but not all tickets) can be upgraded at the park as long is it is done before you leave the park on the last day of usage on the ticket.

Sounds like it's time to compile a "Everything You Wanted to Know about Universal Orlando Tickets, But Were Afraid to Ask" sticky. :teeth:

I bought my 2 day park to park access tickets off the universal website. Is it upgradeable inside the park? Or after I have used one day of the 2 day ticket? If that is true, it would be awesome.

You can upgrade it at Guest Services anytime before it expires. So that means before your first day, during your first day or during your second day.

When you say "expire" does that mean before the park closes on the last day of the ticket?

Thanks for the information...I'm familiar with the system at WDW, but I don't know anything about US/IOA's ticket system.

Yes, expiry is before the park closes on the last day.
