Universal Studios Ticket Upgrade ?

I haven't found any reference anywhere to a non-expiring 2 day ticket. Is this just for Florida residents? There are a lot of great options for Florida residents but practically none for non-residents.

I have a one-day ticket but I'll upgrade it to the two-day if I can get non-expiring - looking at 1 visit in September and possibly another in October or December but I don't think that will be enough to justify buying an annual.

You can purchase a 3 day, semi non-expiring (2013) ticket at selected Costco stores. There is a thread about it.

I don't believe you can upgrade to it at the park though, since it needs to be purchased at Costco.

Thanks, but I can't tell if they are sold in Costco in Virginia. Appears to be an offer limited to Florida and states surrounding Florida. I can have my parents check the local Costco though, they're members.

I haven't heard reports of anyone in Florida or Georgia finding them. People in New York and other northern states have been buying them.

You can upgrade it at Guest Services anytime before it expires. So that means before your first day, during your first day or during your second day.

Thanks for the info. Right now, there is AMEX discount on my ticket reservation. $20 off the gate price. If I upgrade in the park, do I pay the difference of the 2 day to 3 day discount price? Or do I pay the difference of the 2 day discount to 3 day gate price? So, it's a $10 vs $30 difference.

Discount rate: 2 day $124.99 and 3 day $134.99
Gate rate: 3 day $154.99

Hmmm. Not sure about that. You should probably give Guest Services a call to ask.

Thank you for this, my parents go to the Manassas Costco and someone saw them there 2 weeks ago. I'll ask them to look, and I can save the 1 day ticket I already have as long as I need to, I'll assume.
