Universal Newbie question

I will add that the backwards portion of Mummy is rather mild and only a few seconds. Otherwise it's a smooth and fun ride. Not sure how your father handles roller coasters, but if he can handle Dinosaur, Tower of Terror, and Flight of Passage, Mummy shouldn't be a problem. My MIL is very prone to dizziness and motion sickness but rides it with no problems.

So the backward portion isn't anything like Expedition Everest? Yes, he is ok with those other Disney rides you mentioned.

I don't remember 3D glasses at Universal Orlando's Forbidden Journey. I think that was only in California.

It's not bad at all, not even close to Everest. It's a straight, backwards, downhill drop less than a full story in height.

If you want to see a very mild spoiler of the ride, this video shows the drop using a night vision camera.

The drop is from 1:11 to 1:16. That's it.

This is great - he can totally ride this. Thanks for including the video. Definitely helps.

Just an FYI about the Scopolamine patch, it's contraindicated if you have glaucoma or difficulty urinating/urinary retention. It can also cause mental status issues or confusion in the elderly. I just wanted to mention it since your dad is in that older age group.

Thanks for the heads up. It's on our 'doctor question list'. Appreciate it.
