I planned to take DH and DS (just under 2) for a day trip to USO on a Saturday in June. (We would be driving over from WDW). I would like to do some things for DS (Barney, Fivel's etc) and at least the Mummy Ride, Jaws & Twister for me and DH. But after reading about the long wait times for the rides from some of the trip reports, is there any point to visiting USO if you're not staying at one of the hotels? Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

You can use the Express Pass machines (just like Disney fast passes and are free) and you should be fine. There is also Express Pass Plus booklets which can be purchased. They are about $15-25 each. These booklets give you one express pass to each ride to use anytime you choose (no waiting on a certain time frame). HTH

Well, first off, as for Disney in June, we evidently are like you, Melodie.......we can't just go whenever we please, we have to plan around our family. We've been to Disney the last two summers, both times in June, and had a blast.
As for the lines, you can get the express pass at Universal, and you know no matter WHAT time you go to either park theres going to be lines.
We always just plan on having fun......its vacation! If theres a line, theres a line......no matter when you go, theres going to be lines. Theres going to be lines at Disneyworld, but there always is.........sometimes more than others.
JUST HAVE FUN!!

Thanks for the comments. I didn't realize that USO had an express pass. I called the Portifino and they had a AAA rate of $215 which, if I understand correctly, will give us FOTL access at the park which probably isn't a bad idea. I will check out the Express Pass System and the EP booklets and decide from there.

We are going to Univeral in June also. It will be our first time. We did Disney last year in June, and had no problems at all with lines.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the lines won't be too bad at Universal!!

If you can stay onsite, then that is what I would do. We are staying at RPR on our trip later this month. With a young child, it will help tremendously to be able to take a break and go back to your room for a nap or downtime, especially in the heat of the summer.

We have been to Disney before in June and we didn't have a problem with lines either...I have never been to Universal in June, but we are going this June for a week and a half...Only staying at Universal for two nights, but will be at the parks 5 days. :)

Have a wonderful trip! :)
