Universal in December

What are the crowds like from Dec.4 to Dec.9???Does the park do any thing special for the holidays??Thanks

Parks are decorated for Christmas, Grinchmas is on, the Macy's parade should be starting by then.. and best of all very low crowds!!! I think it is the best time to go. Only problem is it may be too cold for the water rides....

Very quiet time in the parks just before the mad rush. Not sure what they plan to do with grinchmas this year. Last year it didnt start till the 10th. The macys parade started on the same day. It was decorated earlier just didnt have the official grinchmas and parade during early december.

Weather can be hot or freezing! One year we went swimming and wore shorts and another year we were in winter coats, hats and gloves!

Overall its a great time to be in the parks and not contend with crowds. The parks close early during those dates.

The first day for Macy's Parade was the 10th. That was the first night they had it, it was great. The balloons were great, they had some local marching school bands in the parade. Santa was at the end of the parade and they were throwing little candy cane bites into the crowds. They were shooting big pieces of confetti out about three times through out the parade. I hadn't been overly excited about an attraction in a long time. Hope you can see it.

We were there for a WDW stay and visited Universal on Monday 12/6 and Friday 12/10. The weather was really nice, low 80's, but we stayed off the water rides because it was not hot enough to walk around wet. But others were going on. On Monday it was walk on everything. Friday there were small waits on some rides, due to the fact that it was the first day of the parade. The parade was great. We did go swimming during our stay and it was fine.
