So I bit the bullet and booked Virgin flights 27th July to 17th August. Mile and money coming back PE.

Going to spend 17 nights at Bonnet Creek (Did SSR this year but Bonnet Creek works out half the price) and 4 nights Universal. wanted to spend the first 4 nights at Universal but alot more expensive than the last 4 nights. Just wondering if anyone can remember what they paid this August.

Also, never been to Universal in August, only December when hardly anyone seems to be there. Do you think that front of line access is essential?

Thanks

What rate you got for Bonnet Creek? Just had a quick look but couldn't see many deals, around £90/nt, seems a lot for there.[/QUOTE]

Hi
Thanks for thread.

When I say Bonnet Creek, I mean Wyndhams Bonnet Creek, the one next to Carribean Beach. I have stayed 3 times before in a 2 bed villa renting from an owner and have paid either $120 or $100 a night. Cheaper rate is if owner can rebook at the six week window. I think this is a bargain as rooms are huge and resort lovely. Have used the same owner 3 times a not a single problem, highly recommend. Quote from Disney is £4500 with tickets which I don't need but would have to buy. Bonnet Creek for 18 nights and a suite at Universal for 3 nights will cost me just under £2000 so as much as I love the free dining, I just can't justify the difference.

You have to look at all options for your needs, free DDP is not always the best option.
For us in a studio for 3 of us it works out at about £120/nt after cashback, discount & $150 gift card. We could stay offsite and save a little but standard of holiday would not be as high as staying at OKW so worth the £10-20/nt extra for us.

You asked about FOTL access, we hardly used it. It was great getting in early for WWoHP but we have been AP holders fro about 7 or 8 years so no big thing for us to get on the rides, we are also just as happy doing single riders lines. Most people think its well worth it.

If you book 5 nights you get the stay and save deal but CO just quoted me £504 for 5 nights 17-22nd August. What are your dates. They were cheaper than the hotel direct.
