Universal experimenting with a system to eliminate line cutting

My family had some Europeans cut in front of us on MIB. They conveniently couldn't speak English/chose to ignore us when we voiced our displeasure.

As luck would have it they ended up in the left car, my family in the right. We took aim at their exhaust and spun their car for most of the ride.
:)Sweet revenge :)

Ahhhh something else to slow down the lines. . . . . . seems a bit extreme. My solution is more people simply need to speak up when they see this occuring.

Exactly. Nothing more to gunk up the lines. And if you see a group of cutters tell them to back off, and tell a cm.

I have just returned from Universal. We did all the rides but Hulk. I have to say that on the Mummy I saw a CM tell some teenagers that were dunking under the turnstiles... to go back. She would not let them on.:cool1: I did not see the cards, but as I said, we did not ride Hulk. We did ride Dueling Dragons. The lines were very low and great weather! Some rides were double checking FOTL passes. Which was fine with me. One was Cat in the Hat.

Excellent, maybe they are getting stricter.

I was there last week and saw kids using the baby swap area to cut lines at Dueling Dragons and the Mummy. In both cases, the kids would get off the ride, go through the baby swap waiting area, and get back on the ride. At dueling dragons they blended into the crowd and the workers didnt know what was going on. At Mummy, the same 3 10 year old girls went back through the baby swap area over and over several times in a row. The worker had to know what was going on, they were all wearing identical shirts from some middle school, but he didnt seem to care.

As we left the park, my wife got selected for one of the exit surveys they do. We told them about what was going on with the baby swap areas. We were in the express line each time, so it didnt matter to us much, If we had been in the regular line and waiting a long time it would have bothered me more.

Instead of handing out cards at the beginning at every ride to prevent people cutting in line (which would take up more time), why don't they give each visitor a taser. This would enable those waiting in line to electrocute anyone cutting in on any of the rides. :scared1:

Not only would this eventually lead to people stopping jumping the queues, due constant taser-ing, but those who are rude and start arguing with the guys in charge will be incapacitated and can be safely led away from the area without causing further problems.

Not sure that those under the age of say, 3/4 should be allowed to have them though as they might not be responsible enough.

I'm visiting Universal next week so i could suggest this idea to someone there.

p.s. (Yes, i have just been reading the 'Taser at WDW' thread, and this is partly in jest.)

We saw those kids, weren't they rude. My husband said he was going to report them if he could have only have found an adult!

I vote his wife starts work as a TM! :woohoo:

no kidding i think there would be no line cutting with her there lol and i can hear her now alright there is a ne sheriff in town lol

Hell no am I letting someone cut in front of me...I am far to vocal for that...in fact, I will probably embarass my BF when we are there if someone dares do that to me. I am all about blocking the way - and if they try to squeeze by - I pretty much will let them have it....and if I peeve somebody off, I'm sure my 6'4" BF will have something to say about it....he doesn't keep his mouth shut when someone tries to offend me!!

Proud of the workers for doing something about it...they will probably try a couple of different systems before finding something that works, but if they are getting the complaints, you know they have to do something about it...

Glad to hear i'm not the only one who flips out when they see people cutting in line...course i'm good for embarrassing my family.:thumbsup2

fyi, the worst abuse seems to be @ WDW Splash mt. where kids cut under the ropes.

I'm not sure if I agree or not. On one hand yes if there are people trying to cut in front of me when I knew for a fact they were not there at all, then it would come in handy, but on the other hand, there has been times for us anyway when we'll all be in line for a ride then one of the little ones needs to use the restroom so DH or I will take them real quick and the other will wait in line. If we're still waiting when we get close to the entrance we always let the people behind us go in front of us , hope this all made sense?!!;) :)
