Universal dollars?

Hello all,
Taking my first trip to Universal this summer. Thought I saw something awhile back on these boards about Universal dollars. Was it my imagination? If not, where can I find them? TIA

Universal Studios Scrip is what you're thinking of. IIRC, you can get some scrip by taking one of the surveys in the park. Look for the people with clipboards and Universal nametags. Scrip is good for food/merchandise.

You can also buy Universal dollars at the park. They come in denominations of $1, $5, and $10. You do get change from the ones you purchase. You can buy them at Guest Services.

Can you buy Universal dollars anywhere else, like on-line? I know that I can buy Disney Dollars at the Disney Store. We're heading to Universal in August and i wanted to buy my girls some Universal dollars before the trip.

That's correct. They are only available at the park.

One thing that I have seen is Universal Studios gift cards. They have them at our local WalMart.

Yes, but you can't use them like a credit card. You can buy tickets with them but if you want to purchase merchandise or food, you will need to take the card to Guest Services and they will give you Universal Dollars for the amount of the card.

Ah hah....that stinks...you'd think they would be just like a credit card.... , but I guess it would be about the same concept as buying your tickets in advance and picking them up when you got to the park.

We did a survey at Universal last year and they gave us cash I think it was like $50.00 for an hour .

Yes, you can get cash back. You'll have to come to guest services to do redeem them for cash. You will also get change when you are paying for something. Most places take them except for Emerils.

if you have the universal master card, you can redeem the credits for tickets at UO.



i'm only $15000 away from a free weekend stay at hrh..........
