Universal Adventures of Dreams AND Magic, and an expanding World!

I will let you in on a secret...I have looked at adding another cruise at the end...but I just can't do it...too much money and too many days of missed school.

We have trouble with that pesky school thing getting in the way too! :lmao: You'll just have to break it up and do it another time, right? :teeth:

Your uncles yard is beautiful it looks so nice and lush. Do you think you can get him to come to South Carolina to help me with mine?:scratchin

Yeah for getting the $30.00 credits!

I've wanted to do the Spirit of Aloha for a long time now. River loves the shows too but I know neither one of us would like the food and I just can't justify the price for it. I can't wait to see your pictures of it!

Last day? Say it isn't so ............

Your plans sound wonderful. I am sure Claire will love Spirit of Aloha and am very interested in your review.
Oh, I would have loved if you had been able to add another cruise, but one day you just have to go back to back! It's the best feeling NOT to have to leave the ship (well, you leave, but you march right back on again!).

I'm excited to try it. I'll try to get a lot of pictures. I'm in the not so good section because of the dining plan seating...but I think we'll be ok.

I did this with my parents a couple of years ago on the dining plan and while we WERE a little further back, we could see everything just fine! It was cute in a hokey kind of way, but the food was good, and the location to die for! :thumbsup2 I don't think I would want to pay for it OOP but it was great on free dining!

We've been to Spirit of Aloha twice and we really enjoyed it. Our tables haven't been so bad even though we booked using the dining plan. We were pretty far up front but off to the side. There are some parts of the show that are a bit cheesy but the traditional dance, music and the fire twirler more than make up for the cheesiness.

As far as the food goes, we really enjoyed it. The only part thing that was iffy for us was the rice but we are from the South where you eat rice with gobs of gravy on it. :rotfl: Oh and the coconut bread didn't taste a bit like coconut to us. Even Mr. Picky Hunter loved it.

Oh my word...I just read through my PTR and refreshed myself on everything I have written....boy I am the worlds worst typist. I can spell...I swear i can, but I type too fast and don't always double check...and even ones I did double check, the spelling is bad. So sorry to put you all through that. I will try to be more careful.

I know. Why does school have to be a factor in the decisions. :rotfl:

I think we'll find enough to eat, and we should enjoy the show. I guess it will be a new experience and we'll know for future trips.

I hate last days. Luckily we have a late flight the next day, so we don't have to hurry up and leave in the morning.
I would love to do another cruise at the end of the trip. But the prices would have to be blow your socks off good to justify it. But I do keep looking.

Good to know. We like cheesy stuff (after all we have seen hoop dee doo 3 times now). I am guessing Claire will like it.

I do know you guys like it and have done it a few times...you are one that helped me decide to go for it. I am hoping the bread doesn't have that flavor...I actually read a couple of people said that.

I can't remember....have you eaten dinner at Ohana? I am almost positive that the bread there and at Spirit of Aloha are the same.

Jen - I think you'll like Via Napoli, DS and I ate there in June and loved it (and we are picky about our Italian food, especially as my inlaws are all Italians from NY!) My son had a pepperoni pizza that normal people could split, but he ate the whole thing, it looked good, thin crust. I had an alfredo dish, I think rigatoni with peas and it was delicious, I couldn't finish it all so DS ate a good portion and he had some delicious looking gelato sundae, with black cherries that he totally woofed down by himself. Our waitress was cute and attentive but not overbearing, it was a little noisy but not terrible, I would definitely recommend it. It was cool inside, you might want a sweater - but we were also wet from the storm that we had to run through to get there.:thumbsup2

I will be eating there for the first time this trip as well.

I am now starving reading that! ::yes:: I'm excited to give it a try.

Caught up again! At AKL they allow all guests to use both Jambo & Kidani amenities, right? I thought during your full-day at AKL you could easily go check out the other building too. Kidani has the Community Hall which often has crafts and things. Though, AKL has some amazing kids activities too! And the free Boma Culinary Tour.

Ya, I don't think you will be bored. :goodvibes

I'm so glad you got your flight down booked! And woo-hoo for the credits! You posting that on our group FB page the other day made me check mine and we saved $18 total. :rotfl: But hey, $18 is $18! I'm hoping that between the Jet Blue credits I've gotten and some SWA ones we'll have very, very cheap flights in February....or we can squeeze in a little extra trip at some point! :thumbsup2

Thanks. I'm sure when we get closer to our trip I'll be bugging the heck out of you for info. Plus my cousin is staying there after the cruise, so it will be nice to let her know what else is offered. She is only doing 2 park days and doing more relaxing and eating. :thumbsup2

I would love for a bit more credit...so I could justify a trip back early next year. :scratchin

Wow! That sounds like a whale of a trip, and you've still got 3 months yet before you leave! Can't wait to see how it actually goes according (or not) to plan!:thumbsup2

Your plans sound great! I think Clarie will like the Luau. I went when I was 12 and it was a really cool show. I am sure it has changed a bit since then, but I remember really enjoying it! Sounds like a great way to end the trip!

Well we are officially going to be in WDW Veterans day weekend. I finally found some decent airfare, had to get creative, but it is booked. My friend sent me the email confirmation that her uncle sent her, they upgraded to regular dining. He did not seem to know what that meant and explained it to my friend wrong. Where do these agents get their training?

I can't wait. I know with my family things will go awry...but we'll still have fun! :goodvibes

Yay. We'll have to meet up! Sounds like he doesn't do much Disney.

Yes definitely! Hopefully I can still walk after Saturday! My knee has been giving me some good and bad days lately. I ran a 5K on Friday but man I was in pain that night. Yesterday I did it on the elliptical so it was a little easier, but still pretty sore after that. So I may be in a wheelchair when we meet lol.

Morning Jen!!!!

:thumbsup2

Skip is now having issues with his other hip. So his replaced hip is actually the good one now. I am worried what happens if he replaces this one too. We all know how well the first one went.

I am now trying to get back on the work out kick. I am not losing anything and everything I own is tight. I decided I need to step a bit away from the computer a little bit more to get active.

Yesterday was our 10 year anniversary. We didn't do anything special really. Very anti climatic. I know so many people who go all out..not my husband. It was just another day. We did go out to dinner to a favorite spot and Claire joined us. And when we got home, he headed out to the barn because his buddy was over and didn't come in till 11. It was fine though as I did some catching up on the computer then! :thumbsup2

10 years ago yesterday...and 50 pounds lighter!
