Booked a ticket yesterday. They give you 24 hours to cancel for no penalty and full refund. I tried to cancel right away--they told me I had to wait until the flight was ticketed. As of this morning, and still as of now, it has never been "ticketed." I called, with plenty of time before the 24 hours was up. Waited on hold almost an hour and then got disconnected. Have been on hold again almost an hour and now I'm past the 24-hour mark. Crossing my fingers now they actually let me cancel the flight. UGH! If I didn't live in Houston where we are stuck with United if we want direct flights, I'd never fly United after all the problems I've had with them.
OK, finally got through and they did cancel and issue refund. Maybe storms in Florida were affecting the hold times?
