It's been about 8 years since our last trip to WDW, and we'll be there over spring break. We have time to kill and I wanted to visit the different resorts. Are there unique things to do? I remember some resorts offered tours, hidden Mickey maps, etc.

At AKL you can see the animals at the various lookout areas. It's a wonderful experience seeing them and talking with the South African cast members.

At POR you can ride a horse drawn carriage for a fee. You can make reservations ahead of time.

At Fort Wilderness they have a campfire area to roast marshmallows and sing songs with Chip and Dale. Then they show a movie afterwards I believe.

AKL does have a Hidden Mickey Challenge - you can ask for it at the Concierge desk in the Lobby. If you visit AKL in the evening, before 9:30, night-vision goggles are available to view the Uzima Savanna.

At POR, fishing poles are available along with bait, for a fee, and you can attempt to catch and release fish.

Be sure to tour the new Art of Animation resort - great theming throughout and a nice food court too with gelato!

Thanks for the tips. Keep 'em coming! I did the AKL night vision last time. What a thrill.
