I was wondering if/when you go to the grocery store when in Florida what non-UK items do you HAVE to get?

Lucky Charms... Love them!!
The Harvey Nichols near us sells them but they are over £5 a box :faint:

We get 2 years (yes thats how long it takes us to save up for the next trip!!) supply of REAL whitening (with peroxide) toothpaste and listerine.

Saves us a fortune on UK alternatives that dont work half as well cause we arent allowed peroxide in our products!!

Cheetos
Jif
Kids cough syryp (not this watered down saccarine laden stuff we get here that does nothing)

Can you remember the name of the Cough medicine you buy?. I agree UK alternatives are pointless :confused3

I also stock up on Toothache reliever called Kanka Gel, works perfect :thumbsup2

I agree the drugs are bigger and better but Im going along the food line:lmao:
Publix carrot cake OMG a must have
Publix fresh peanut butter
Lays sour cream and chive crisps or should I say chips
paint size buckets of ice cream any flavour will do!!
Aunt Jemima's pancake syrup
Chips ahoy cookies
The list is endless and I have seen some of our favourites over here but it doesn't taste the same if your not eating eat in florida!!:cloud9:
Now Im Hungry :goodvibes
Cornish pixie

Tylenol
Lays Wavy
Shake n Bake (the pork one is lovely) :thumbsup2
(For DH) Smuckers PB&J
Mint Oreos

There's probably loads more stuff we love but those are usually the things taking up room in my suitcase on the way home.

Quite frankly, any of the cough syrups you get there are fine. They all have the 'missing ingredient' we don't get in ours ;)

Oh yes, that Kanka Gel is really good. I forgot about it completely, but we used to have it in our medicine cabinet all the time. :thumbsup2

General Foods International coffees, particularly French Vanilla Cafe. DH calls it a hot milkshake but I've been addicted since I was a teenager. Security always laugh at me as I haul up to 20 tins back with me in my carry on!

Choc covered oreos and the mint ones are good too
Peanut butter M&Ms
Advil (the uk stuff is nowhere near as good)
Dark milkyway bars which are more like Mars bars are here but in dark choc DH loves those.
There are loads of other things like DH loves the Jack Daniels fruit punch but its too hard to bring that back for your alcohol limit. For me it would be proper Dr pepper (the uk suff tastes watered down) and wild Cherry Pepsi (american soda sell it here but it gets expensive) Though I have found a place here that sells cherry Dr Pepper and its soo good.

I agree with a PP though it does not taste quite the same back home :sad1:

I am quite in love with those cinanmon rolls in a tin that you just unroll put in oven and hello, goodness. Might try and bring some of them home with me this time.

Some one mentioned peanut butter MM's are they different to the peanut ones we get here as I quite like those and would quite like to try peanut butter ones.

Babe Ruth's - my favourite choc bar in the world - I cannot get enough of them! Also Grape flavour Laffy Taffy. And white corn chips, Mountain Dew and a beer called Tequiza which is divine.

Zeebs the peanut butter M&M are really, really scrummy! You need to try them.

Fanta.... I know we have it but it is noway as good as the bright orange American Fanta.

Cheetos
Chips Ahoy
Lays

Perkins Peanut Butter pie... omg its heaven!

Goldfish Crackers for DD
Jif Peanut Butter
Pain killers

I am sure there is other stuff but those are the things we bought back recently :thumbsup2

We always buy dolmio fresh pesto. It tastes so much better in Florida than the jar stuff you can buy in this country.

We also buy Tylanol.
