Unique Baby Girls names??

My four dd are Lyssa, Abigail, Natalie and Claire. Aside from Abigail none of them have encountered children with the same name.
I've had friends with some unique names:
Sari (pronounced Sudi)
Maja (pronounced Maya)

I wanted to name dd Ryan or Ryann, but conservative DH said no way, so her name is Kerry - definitely the only one where ever we go, but it isn't way out there.

When I was pg with ds if he was a girl his name was going to be Jamie.

I have a fairly unpopular name - Casey. It has seemed to become more mainstream lately but not for someone my age. Funny thing is I am named after my grandfather's mother.

Carone0318 my name is Kerry as well. I don't see too many girls spell it the same way as we do. I have seen a lot of boys with that name too.
As for a girls name. If I have a girl her name will be Brielle. Love the name.

DH is one of eight children, and our DS was grandbaby #13, so there were already a LOT of names out of the mix... We ended up naming him Ian. Our short list of girl names was:

Those were my names for DS if he were a girl.

DD is named Alicia (pronounced A-lee-see-a) but everyone says it wrong and calls her aleesha. It drives her crazy.

I hated naming my 2 DS. My DH is super old fashioned so none of the better names he would go with. For my oldest his name would have been Emily Beth. The second was to be Alyssa Marie.

I like classic names. When naming my children I used the test asking how the name would sound on an older person. Names ending with "y" or "ie" sounded wrong for older people. Also, anything that is difficult or confusing to spell was right out. I don't want to have to correct people or spell out a name for them every time I say it. I love the names Tova and Sarah.

I think the y or ie thing is a sometimes thing. For example, I think that Gregory, Zachary, Emily, and Natalie (all classic names, not nicknames) sound just fine at any age.

I agree with you that names that are hard to spell or pronounce can be a challenge.

I haven't met any girls with my dds names-Miranda and Veronica, Randi and Ronnie for short.

Other names on my list were Marley, Paige, Josie, Nora and Ngaire (pronounced Ny-ree).
