Unique Baby Girls names??

I have a Maryssa Nell and Piper Jane. We get lots of:confused: over Piper. But I love her name and can not imagine her being anything but Piper.

My favorite name is still what I named my first dd and that is

Kayleigh
(pronounced Kaylee)

but I also love my 2nd dd's name and it's

Shannon

Here are our girls names

Briley Elise

Cadence Lucia A.K.A. "Lucy"

We love them!
Some other names we liked were

Aria
Brighton
Moriah

I love my daughters name: Lucie Catherine

My mom always said you should name your children like they could one day be the CEO of a major corporation.

My vote is for Ava or Mia.

Those were my names for DS if he were a girl.

DD is named Alicia (pronounced A-lee-see-a) but everyone says it wrong and calls her aleesha. It drives her crazy.

Natalie

I work in a portrait studio and we have AT LEAST 2 kids EVERY WEEKEND named AVA. I'm SO NOT KIDDING....one weekend before Christmas (Busy season) there were FIVE in one day!!!! It's a super popular name around here right now.

Unfortunately, my DD has a really popular name. She was named michaela after her grandfather. (He's a Michael...we thought she'd be the last grandkid.....oops! Surprise! Then we had a boy...Go figure! LOL!) I knew it was KIND OF popular, but had no idea until she started school. When she was in Kindy and DS was in first, there was 3 in kindy (in 4 classes) 1 in DS's class, and one more in DD's girl scout troop! But none spelled our way. :) So I guess that's a little victory...LOL!

And K names themselves sseem to be really popular. When DS was in 1st grade, his class list included:

MiKayla
Kayla
Kaleigh
kaleb *LAST NAME*
Kaleb *L* (Yep....had 2 kaleb *L Last Names*
Kaleb *B*

REDICULOUS! LOL! I would have thrown a FIT if I'd been his teacher and got some kids MOVED! LOL! (The computer picks class assignments randomly unless there is a special need that they be somewhere then they are moved there....so it's not like they couldn't have shuffled a little)

I very much like the name Piper. Its has become a popular name in our town lately. I think I have seen 3 birth announcments. I say 3 is popular because I had never heard of it, besides Charmed, until lately. I think its very pretty.;)

My DD is named Tess Madison (as if you couldnt get that from my screen name) I also love my nieces name Lilly Grace.princess:

My daughter is Claire. She is the only one in her grade with that name and I think in her entire school. The other names I liked were Arrington, Cecilia, Elinor and Marilyn.

DH & I have very common names so we wanted something unique for DD, but not so off the wall that people would think we lost our marbles...Austyn Renee'.
DD9 loves her name. She thinks it's cool that she's the best known Austyn in her school. :cheer2: :yay:

My middle dd is named Ciara pronounced just like the spelling Sierra. I liked the spelling with a C because its very rare to see that and there is a perfume called Ciara that smells wonderful.

I like the names Illiona Nicole(Lilly, for short) Kendall Shae, Madilynn Marie, and Piper.

Dreama! I know of three people in the world that have that name.

Or how about Caoimhe? This is Irish/Scottish and is pronounced KEE-va, KWEE-va.

I grew up with a wierd name Brycen. I was unhappy with it growing up but I lived in a small town just outside of Disney full of people who clearly had no imagination. My name became very popular and now I prefer it the other way. So you can not always win this battle. Although I do like that people know how to pronounce it now. WOOT!

My daughter who is 9 was named Nyssa Renee. Nyssa in Norwegian means Friendly Little Forest Elf. Her dad has some social phobia issues and he had me believing that I did as well. My greatest hope for her at that time was to break past those issues and be a social butterfly. That failed by the way.

My current SO and I arguing as he wants his son to have his very plain common name of Eric David. I do not want that for my child with everything I have been through. I want it to be unique like my daughters but not something open to torment. We are having trouble.

I had so much trouble coming up with girl names while pregnant--it seems both times I always had a boy name picked out and then lo and behold, I had girls instead!!:rotfl2: DD6's name is Miranda Marie--and DD2's name is Marisola Noel (Mar--ee--sol--a) not too out there but not something they will have a hard time with. I have a niece named Karis--love it!!

If we have another girl she will be named Elliott Noel. Other names we have on our list if there are even more babies are:
Girl Names
Hadley
Mary Frances
Neeley

Boy Names
Jackson
Clifton
Thomas
Jake

All are family names and each has a personal meaning.

I have a friend who just had a daughter and named her Marea. (Pronounced Ma-Ray) I thought it was different and very pretty.

 Mrs. Disney Ron

Or how about Caoimhe? This is Irish/Scottish and is pronounced KEE-va, KWEE-va.

Yes! I think a name that only 1 in 100,000 can pronounce upon seeing it is definitely the way to go! Unique is one thing; unpronouncable is something else completely. Give the poor kid a chance.

My daughter is Claire. She is the only one in her grade with that name and I think in her entire school. The other names I liked were Arrington, Cecilia, Elinor and Marilyn.

I LOVE the name Claire! Dh didn't care for it as much as I did, but it's a good, classic name that isn't overly used. It's still one of my favorite girl names.
