This won't mean much to people that aren't local - but our last name is Druckenmiller - and we're from the same area as the infamous ex-NFL football player Jim Druckenmiller (no relation that we know of)- when he was going through his criminal phase EVERYONE had a comment about it. I started telling people he was my spouse just to shut them up!

This thread reminded of a story I heard awhile back on the radio. There was a candidate in Chicago, I think, whose name was Rich Whitney. . .but his name got misspelled on the ballot as Rich Whitey.

One of my senior residents was Dr. Payne.

Since he was a pediatrician, when parents would tell their kids that "Dr. Payne" was going to see them, they really freaked . . .

Cox is a common surname around here. People really don't think twice about it. But I can see why they would@
