Unfortunate last names

I know a man whose name is Richard Dick.

I know a family with the surname Buttkiss -- that they pronounce just as it looks.

I know a family with the surname Lapinus -- they pronounce Lapeenus.

A common surname around here is Hoar.

To be honest, there are quite a few last names I would change if they were mine.

My kids' orthodontist's name is Dr. Hurt. He's turned his last name into a positive though. At the end of his radio ads he says, it's just his name and not his intention.

I actually work at the same place with a guy who's last name was Snodgrass, he liked to hunt so I didn't want to make fun of his name if he liked guns and all that. he was actually a nice guy though.
